    Your fish looks like a red morwong paggles which arent a common capture and black trevally or happy moments as they are sometimes called are common and whatever you do dont get stung by the spikes or you will be in for a lot of pain

    The national park south of Port Hacking is good for trolling close in for kingies and bonito havent done it for a while so it should be better now for kings There is also some good flattie drifts off the beaches Ill give you a rundown on how to do it next time we catch up

    I think you should forget about casting move up to a 1/8th jighead or bigger if required and drop it straight down the transducer beam to the bottom and slowly jig it up the water column to the depth of the fish showing on the sounder This has worked pretty well for me on deep fish

    Thanx to Mark for taking me on his boat Unfortunately we couldnt find any fish but it was a nice day except for the cold First time fishing the harbour for me and I can see its potential Hope to get on there some more and get my first salmon Also nice to meet some more raiders
