goto nepean river boat ramp.. berly some bread and you will find big schools of mullets (they were size of my forearm). Try getting a double header on a small graphite rod its awesome

i guess when you loose the fish, you rather want to believe you lost a large pj rather then a blue/yellow fin better luck next time. ps I was inspired to have a fishing session and off I went to Palmbeach. Stayed there till 6:30 and no bites what so ever Halfway back I get a call from my mate who decided to stay bit longer (as high tide was 7:30pm) saying he just caught his 9th calamari and few tailors! DOPE

could it possibly be some sort of tuna? I read in a magazine recently that they take off when they are hooked! and since there was more than 1 hook up I there seemed to be a school of these big boys which suggest once again be a big school of yellowfin? bluefin? anyway that sounds so exciting I am packing my gear for some fishing! LOL

anyone of you guys have those super long rod without reel thingy (those ones chinese people use) They are awesome when you hook one of those big carps.. I remember when I was little fighting for like 10minutes because the rods so long and thin plus the line is very weak! Anyway is this lane cover river? where about is it? I am in if you guys can organise a good time.

yup couple of times.. good for kids, they can swim and fish you can catch lizards, bream, flounder etc (sandwellers) if your a hardcore fisherman you will be disappointed but as a family top place.

omg I can imagine my heart beating million miles an hour every time the kingy would tease Couple of times I was fishing for tailors with small metal and this massive kingy would follow.... what a sight!! You should have killed the squid/cuttlefish and put it on a float. What was the tide like?

Nice catch dude, I so wish I can catch a nice big salmon. I have never caught one before Hey I saw you in cliftons garden before, you were pulling in couple of those small yellow tails while I couldn't even catch a cold So there are kingfish in the morning? I might have to give it ago soon.

funny thing I actually had a dream of catching loads of fish in cliftons!! maybe its a premonition. I might have to go back again

Dope I forget its hard to express sarcasm on the internet. I was trying to say how miseral my luck is in cliftons nothing more. You know the saying Hit and Miss ( well guess which one I HIT ) Please don't take my comments too seriously.

Thanks for the advice. I say its the NO FISHING PART OF THE SEASON its too cold I had 3 rods, one had a float with pillies tried different depth and no success. Tried the bottom fishing, tried squid fishing but no luck. To be honest I just want to catch couple of Slimey's Thats all I ask for PS Around 7pm I was the only one fishing on a friday night... so I guess people know by instinct that its sloowwww.

People keep lying about how good this place is and I keep falling for them!!! I went out today got their just before sunset and fished till 7:40pm (high tide was 7:30) and caught NOTHING AGAIN!!! Infact not even a bite! not even a YAKKA!! I am never going to this SHIT-HOLE again PS Unless I get another report of good catch (which I will fall for another lie!)

I tried fishing around these rivers for the last few times, with no luck. I check tom ugly bridge and that place seems to be crap, lots a amature fishers. checked out oately point but couldn't find any place to cast. Anyone care to help with the location or even better escort me Anyway bring on the jews!

i might try cliftons again... please keep these good reports coming. so far i've tried cliftons 3 times and all i've caught was 1 small squid.

cool looking fish. I tried cliftons couple of time and only thing I have ever managed to catch is cold I always fish off the bridge but seems like you are going somewhere around. Paggles wanna meet up and go fishing together.
