i went there last year, everyone was so lovely (particularly that couple who brought us donuts and cream buns = thanks). i would definately recommend a house boat. We were on a tiny dingy and I wore like 1000000000 layers of cloths and still to this day I have no feeling on my left family jewel! have fun guys/gals houseboat rules (I remember seeing all those lovely people on a houseboat last year wearing singlets! LOL

check out palm beach warf or near the rock pool. you catch alot of calamari from there.

catfish from mooney mooney brooklyn right? well I too have been stung by one when I was 12 or so. I remember being a kid and bing silly, I kicked the crap out of the catfish only to find out later that left me with a massive hole pierced into my shoe and on top of my foot! Little bit painful, but was better then to be humiliated by others (well thats what little 12 year old shy kid would think!!!!) I didn't tell anyone as there were alot of family friends were present (picnic). Anyway on the way back home (luckly it was at the end of the day) I started feeling little bit of pain and it started increasing. Naturally I got scared and told my parents. The pain was like getting stabbed by a little sharp object and increasing my leg was getting this tingling sensation. Anyway long story short, I delt with it and remembered eating KFC (food always made me feel comfortable! lol) I have only ever visited a doctor once in my life (that when I broke my arm). PS catfish sting hurts but wont kill you you don't need to goto the hospital just grin and bare well if a 12 year old kid did it so can you (just kidding I know venoms all effect differently to each individuals) PPS. I mentioned KFC helped me, but please don't think I am some fat boy who replaces love with food even when I broke my arm first thing I did was go get myself a kebab! (when I was 14).

Hi Guys, I worked my butt off the last 3 months (did not take a single day off work!) For that reason I am going to spend a whole week in Merimbula (tathra) for pure fishing. If anyone is there now please let me know how the fishing is like (salmon, mackeral, tailor etc) If anyone is going there during the Christmas period 22-30 let me know, it would be fun to in a group Cheers

Let me tell you, if your going to spend the night do not go unless you can find someone to share their body heat!!!! I had frostbites on my testes!!!! It was freezing. I had 3 layers from top to bottom and I was inside the sleeping bag!!!! My captain did not want to participate in the makings of "Brokeback Hairtail" LOL.

I think it will be scary to catch one... think about it, if it was big shark I would just cut the line, but if it was a dolphin I would wanna remove the hook by placing my rather large head in its mouth LOL scary

i think this northen beach is the north whale beach. Palmbeach was bad yesterday so imagine what whale would have been like....

I am no expert when it comes to politics but I do know how to create a good arguement. OWZAT you have made a valid concerns and your letter reveals tones of passion. However what lacks is that it does not have any scientific facts to justify your clause. You need to provide facts that they cannot ignore, facts that they must investigate and facts that would make them reconsider. You letter only states your beliefs (which I agree with) and threats (mildy put) to alienate the labour party. If you want these an attention from dogs you give them treats, you gotta do the same for the politicians, give them positive reasons for why they shouldn't do what they are doing instead of negative comments. PS Sorry if i sound crap, I just got up and realised today I want to butt in in a topic I have no idea of (just felt like writing crap! LOL)

imagine bringing in a dolphin! you'll be on the news trying to save it! but really can someone tell me why its not possible to hook and land a dolphin? (I am not taking ethics in perspective). I mean try are huge animals but sharks are bigger so how come theres a report of people catching a large shark but never a dolphin? are they such a smart animal that they don't eat food with metal in them

hey dude seems like you've had some fun. I went today (saturday) and the swells were pretty big, virtually unfishable (we were fishing near the pool). Some odd salmons were brought in but I gave into the element as I did not wanna get wet Look I know palm beach and I can assure you I have never seen a large ray ever! (last 3 years) What I have seen are, 1. Dolphin 2. Shark (large ones, so large that beach was evacuated and life guards had to bring emergency vehicles and lifeboats riding out scaring the shark) 3. Big Kingy Now from your post, 30pound line beach fishing you should have been able to give it a decent fight... I don't believe a large kingy can do such thing (plus I have never seen anyone catch a kingy off the beach!). I think its number 1 or number 2. from the description I think its number 1!!! awesome

robbo75 (sam) told me his mate caught a 6.5kg snapper. Now let me tell you 6.5kg i really didn't put too much thoughts on it as i never caught a snapper of anything over a kilo. Now that i have seen the picture...

Hye Robbo75, thanks for the "memory of a life time". Its something I will treasure for the rest of my life, oh plus I have learnt a life long lesson. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I froze both my balls off!!! It was freezing, no fish, no bite thank goodness for the butane gas burner. The Hairtails are myth! I Think Inhlanz went through this cold night last time and wanted others to experience it, so he went out to flemmington and bought some nice hairys and posted them here! PS for all those who braved the elements, congratulations and hope you guys did better then we did. PPS sorry we couldn't hang around till 10am, NO FISH, NO PLAY MAKES GIANNIZ CRAZY PPPS good seeing some of the raiders, (thanks for the lunch donated by one of the couples -sorry forgot your names ) and coollamon, your captain is probably the single most funniest man I have met in my life! .) PPPPS i could go on and on, but for now thanks for the great time everyone, but its time for me to sleep again...

Bit late here but on that same day I came to cliftons around 5pm. There was this guy with 3 rods setup with livey. Guess what he hooked and (thanks to my special netting ability) landed 80cm+ kingy!! It went for the pilons but this fisho fought hard (almost fell in!!). On saturday night I was there catching couple of yellowtails for fun, all of a sudden my reel gos ZZZZZZZ. lasted 2 seconds before it busted me (20 pound!)
