  12. I have 2 pairs of spotters, 1 are really comfortable, the others not so,. I forgot to take fishing glasses with me to Panama, so it was a priority to purchase in Panama City befor the trek to the lodge. Picked up a pair is Seastrike....Bimini Bay outdoor optics. They are the wrap around style, I was so impressed I picked up a 2 nod pair. And the group of us in the shop, several of the guys also went the same way. They were USD$25. Wore them for a solid 7 days fishing and I don't wear the spotters anymore Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. I towed a 540F with a BF falcon magnet pack ute. I used cooks river mostly, low tide could be a two foot job sometimes, one foot on the brake and feather it. Also that was a 4 lane ramp, the far right lane tends to sand up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  22. By the sounds of it, I will be in apt Douglas around the same time. Last week of September. I have booked a half day charter for a group of us, and will also be doing some land based and maybe another charter of hire boat....so we can swap notes Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Very well written. I would like to add something with batteries. Common questions with batteries, are Gel, conventional, start, deep cycle etc... Whichever way you decide to go with a battery, be very aware there can be quite big differences between 'Brands' of battery of the same specification. Personal experience antidote here. We imported a variable message sign on a trailer or from a company in China to evaluate. One of the first things we noticed was the batteries unable to give us 4 continuous days of running. What ensued was, adding an extra solar panel, replacing the solar panel controller to an Australian unit that was reliable and maximised the available amps. Re-wiring from the solar panels to the batteries completely as the wiring was undersized and overheating. Checking the batteries and finding them to be below acceptable condition. We replaced with the same size and specification but a quality brand. As we removed the old batteries and replaced the new, we noticed a weight difference as we lifted them. So we weighed them, the difference was 7 kg per battery. That weight difference is lead, which explained the poor performance of the batteries. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. With shrink tubing there are two measurements, the raw ID and the shrunk ID. In normal heat shrink, you will find it is generally 2 / 1. eg. 1/.05 so, will star at 1mm and will shrink down to .05mm. In higher grade heat shrink, you will find 3 / 1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Stripey's are good GerrySent from my iPad using Tapatalk
