Bate Bay (wide) 26/9 Shark time…

Afternoon all.

 

added the shark in the subject to get yas all in! Lol

 

Headed out from swallow rock this morning around 530am, zipped up the entrance again to try for squid. Zilch. 
 

Conditions were sloppy outside, bom said it was 1m swell, na mate some of em were 2m if not bigger so came back in.

 

Fished around the entrance of port hacking waiting hopefully for conditions to improve to which the did a little bit, straight back out.

 

Nabbed a couple of flatties and a nice size gummy shark, didn’t think there would be this far north? Am I wrong?

You get a few Gummies up here, we got one out of the Hacking 2 weeks ago.

So ,not that common but certainly not rare.

Well done mate, I think the gummy’s aren’t too rare up here. I know @kobi caught a fish caught on a while back.

The one I caught and released yesterday out in Bate Bay was probably a little smaller.

I’ve caught one in that area and my dad got one about 20kgs a couple of years ago.
