Hey guys

i finally finished all my other mahi and yep I wanted some more and also get my brother into some action as he is visiting from Tasmania 

got the live bait very Early and hit the fads

Looks like a cracker sesh...what reels and line do you run for the dollies if you don't mind me asking?

I use 40lb Fluorocarbon leader

rods 8/12kg is enough, I’ve pulled 1.4 meter fish with that just got to take your time , reels I use Saragossa

Nice fish & they are great eating. Can't beat fishing or hunting with your Bro, especially as we get older.

Not much better in life than having family visit and spending a successful day on the water eh, Basil? Does he reciprocate with a fishing trip in Tasmania? Fishing down there could be very different. Anyway, you have the Dollies all worked out and will have plenty of quality fish to eat, for the foreseeable future. Top photos too. I've never fished for them. What rig do you use with the livies?

Yes we catch up fora fish down in Tassie

i use braid straight to a 40lb leader with a 9/0 hook at the end , no weight just straight to a livie
