  1. How good is that.....I will also copy your idea,I also think I will drill a few holes in the base and use it as a bait board as well.
  2. Hi all.Got pulled over the other day just outside Swansea Heads by MSB or whatever they are called this week.I was told that I have to get some paper charts/maps or next time its a $100.00 fine. That big boating and camping store don't sell them,Freddie's don't sell them either.Anyone know where I can get them and what do I need. Can you get one for NSW or do I need one for every area ie Box Head and out to the Fads,Swansea and out to the Fads,Box Head to Long Reef etc. Regards Stu.
  3. Check out Diawa Nudes. No cloth to rip and only cost $12.00 each.
  4. I have spoken to Fisheries about this due to the goings on at Avoca. And was told that unfortunately just because they are in a bucket there is nothing they can do,they have to catch them in the boot of the car.A photo of a bucket of fish does not mean they took them [Even though we all know they do]

  6. Hi loco,I got a Savage Tasman 520 with a 115 Yammie on the back, goes like a train and eats up the slop.
  7. As we all know Braid sing/,vibrates in the wind.So Im thinking does it sing/ vibrate under water when under tension ie when you have a large sinker trying to hold bottom at Flint n Steel.Just thinking out side the square trying to improve catch rates.
  8. Go to http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en.AsI don't have a life I spend way too much time playing with it.
  9. Evening all. Just upgraded the boat to a 5.2 fiberglass and I want to try and look after the finish. It had a buff and polish before I purchased it but now I want to give it a good coat of wax to protect it,can I use a good automotive wax or do I need special marine wax ?If so what do you all recommend Regards Stu..
  10. Also keep the top of the battery dry,a wet top will cause a voltage draw from the pos to neg terminal.
  11. Any Jew caught anywhere in Brisbane waters is said to be caught at the Rip......
  12. Looks good but I always thought the rear wobble rollers were the guide to center up the boat, why do you need a guide to guide up the guide? Also on a bad day what is stopping the bow from running into the metal frame and damaging the hull.
  13. Oh,look at his little face, looks like he is smiling....
  14. Caught two on the troll out the front of Swansea Heads last week.
  15. I struggle to work the side scan, but I love down scan, its like looking at a photo.
  16. Dont eat them ,its not safe. Its not really a tidal lagoon more a storm run off catchment .
  17. Take it to Huey, get it fixed....then go for a day out in the Hawkesbury....Problem solved.
  18. Why not just chuck a sand anchor on the beach, that's all I do.
  19. Gosford ramp is a joke. The idiot who designed the new ramp clearly has never put a boat in the water. They should of put a pontoon straight down the middle making it user friendly, one side in one side out..how easy is that..problem solved.
  20. Don't start over thinking things...Start at the beginning, move the boat and front post forward then adjust rollers, pump up tires to correct psi and road test.I suspect it will be heaps better but you still might have to move the axle back a bit to put more weight on the tow ball, then re test and post back here your findings.I wouldn't go buying things first off though. Regards
  21. Practice and experience.I have been in and out of Swansea bar heaps of times and I don't count it as a bad bar but last week coming back in after dark was a bit hairy due to white caps and rolling breakers. As I said go and practice some before you take all the family out.
  22. So whats the difference then from fresh caught and frozen at home, to frozen in a freezer at the local tackle shop....its still frozen. I'm not trying to be smart just trying to understand the fresh is best theory. And where does frozen Californian Squid fit into the equation. Regards.
  23. As I don't have a life I spend way too much time thinking about fishing. Now I have noticed some good looking spots on the old Navionics on the pc that I think you could get a good drift going in 15mtr of water using a down rigger.Have any Raiders done this,is it likely for a Jew to hit a livey on a down rigger or am I just dreaming..
