How about filling a balloon with helium and hooking on a live bait 3mtr below so it skips across the water.

Evening chaps,thinking of putting a spot/driving light up on the rocket launcher to help on those really dark nights down the Hawkesbury or for when coming in to Swansea Bar late at night.Any one got any makes that they use or recomend. Dont. want to light up miles and miles just enough to find a crab pot and see the waves in front of the boat. Regards Stu.

Thats the Hawk at Juno,he is good fun to feed,hangs around the back of the boat until you throw a Pillie in the air.Amazing to watch -
Hows it going Steve.The lake is on fire at the moment.went out with Dwain last week in his new boat....now thats a nice boat and I will be hard pushed to fall over in this one.Any way we got 16 keepers between us then Fuggly went back on Sunday and bagged out again.I think he is catching more fish than ever in the new boat as he likes to move around a lot more now than he used to. Check that the barbs are not faulty,if your not sure just bend them out a little more with a knife blade.Also make sure the hook point is exposed through the bait and not in it.

Correct,using braid and a leader is a pain due to constant hook replacement,I just use 15 or 20 lb Vanish fluro line{not leader}.just keep a small pack of hooks and ooo/oo/o ball sinkers in your pocket.That way when you get busted up its only 45 seconds and you are fishing again.

Is .com in his new boat yet. You would think that with all the time they sit out there and waiting,waiting,waiting for a bite that Hardmerc could have a bit of a clean up and stow a few things and clear the deck a bit. Also its all in the editing,do not think that the people are as portrayed.

Looks good to me.I recently purchased a Savage Tasman 520 which according to Huey is the same hull.The hulls ride in the chop and swell is great but a little bum heavy.The only down side is fuel consumption,mine has a 115 Yamaha saltwater series and it sucks the fuel,yours might be better,I hope so.Yours has the split screen which is so handy.If I was still looking I would be all over that at that price.

Yes its worth it.We done it 20 yrs ago with no regrets.As for kings you can shoot over to Pittwater as its only a 10 min crossing in front of Lion Island, or change over to Jews and shoot down to Juno point.

Take a spare fuel tank of the same size,Run the main tank on a trip and record how far it gets you on your gps.simple.

Set up 1...Its squid ,don't need much.I just use a crappy old kids rod and reel with 8lb braid and 10lb leader,just something that can be folded down and left in the boat.

I recall reading this some time ago some where and its about the Crab being territorial and it wants to remove the soap from its territory.
