  13. mate just quickly what lure have you been using matched to which sized jigheag, 1/16th or 1.5grm is the max youll need for bream a h/cm as different lures need differing retrieves but the best way to test it out is to gedt out there and mix it up seeing what works on the day so youve got that bit right for sure!! have a look at crystallisers posts hes been braining them at iron cove and h/c bay cheers pk

  15. good advice sammy, i just read a report that showed a guy who caught a blue shark and the trace got twisted and as he went to straighten it out he got his hand/fingers bitten. then when he boated it he got bitten on the same hand again. he got the shark and he got quite a few stiches as well!!! heres a pic so be prepared cheers pk

  17. yeh saw the steamed with lemon pepper thingy on a episode of ifish where the seal filleted it for them!! i would also agree theyre a great strip bait as well. the main thing with bonito is to bleed them and remove the blood line. Some like them baterred in a cajun batter which is a beer batter with a few spices. sashimi is popular, i like to rub chilli , paprika a good black pepper and salt and olive oil into the fillet which has been scored and then chargrill it on the coals or bbq it. if prepared right it should go ok!! cheers pk.
  18. i find nitlon a great leader as well reliable knot strength and good abrasion resistance. i think the clear pattern is that 6pd and less flourocarbon is great on the breamskis!! cheers pk
  19. well said oh and look for a bait jig saves heaps of time and pretty cheap too!! cheers pk
  20. gday little box should usually hold them just a small hook around size 12 and a small piece of bait in a breley trail should do or try the sabiki bait jigs nothing beats them!!! you could always try of the pillbox over at westhead theres usually heaps there but quite a few boats as well. cheers pk
  21. mate great catch of squid there you sure are living up to you name!! nice recipies too, oh and great tips on the kiwi juice but dont leave them in there too long as your squid will turn to mush. the enzymes and acidity in the kiwi actually break down the squids protein and in turn tenderise it!! great tip. cheers pk
