    Afl

ahh yeh, you could pick up on a thousand things that couldve went our way and there are plenty of what ifs? eg Kirk hits the post, buchannan spills the ball! yet this was the case for both teams who were inaccurate.. But in the end youd have to say a great game and a fine display of afl no matter who you support, luck was all that seprated them! its just a shame the mighty swannies had to go down... i have the feeling this rivalry will continue for the next few years as these teams will make more grand final appearences in the years to come. cant wait for the rematch thats only 12 points that have decided the last five encounters. cheers pk
  2. wow! the professional layout of that calendar, would be very useful for when planning trips in a hurry!!! it craps on my calendar which is just charts!! cheers pk.
  3. mate i consider myself lucky as i have a calendar with all the info on it on moon phases and tides as well as the tide time diffrences eg. sydney heads and the hawkebury road bridge which is around fifty minutes behind!! there are a few calnders with it you just have to look for them mine is from my local chemist and it was for free!!! cheers pk

    Mind Game

i got this email a year ago and remebered at the last minute not to say carrot although the first time i did it , it got me!! cheers pk
  5. i must say the halves combo will be interesting.. yet where origin is won is in the fowards battle and i dont like mason at all but i must say he is in form and lifts when it comes to rep footy and u have to respect him for that. nsw fowards to strong and buderus around the ruck and personel like gasnier and tahu and grothe as finishers spells trouble for qld and so it should.... GO THE BLUES!!! cheers pk...

  10. youd think they are? but many thought whiting being bottom feeders and all would be full of diaoxins but they are clear. results still havent been taken on another key recreational target species which is flathead as well as flounder and snapper. tests are still underway as they want to get the results right otherwise theyre in trouble. it is said that the next six months should bring solid results and answers. lets hope so. cheers pk

  13. amm chemistry assesment, biology exam and maths assessment + a great feed on sunday can i fit fishing into there , you bet saturday morning is the go still researching some spots goin through the diary... been fishing sydney quite a bit and mates boat is still in serviece so i might try somewhere new maybe landbased in the hawkesbury around the cowan area, ozeash if you dont mind me asking how what can u expect to catch at apple tree bay and illawong pt?? its a new area to me and i like trying new spots and preapring for them, then adding them to the diary.. cheers pk and thats my 100TH POST ahh yes great site it is!!!
  14. mate you could always go a bit further south too nth narrabeen beach and if the beach doesnt work there are plenty of landbased spots in the lake where he is almost gauranteed to catch a fish. if the gutters on the beach dont work try the lake around the caravan park area or the channel between the island theres always some bream there. cheers pk

    John Dory

mate it states that the bag limit is 20 for the fish that arent listed on the fisheries site. http://www.fisheries.nsw.gov.au/recreation...er/bag_and_size so its 20 and the size limit well there isnt one so its your judgement on that one.. cheers pk
  16. ahh yes the good old eddie that swirls around the point near kiribilli was a great jew haunt when i fished the harbour seriously for jews all of about three times . im not a very patient person either. can you imgaine the look on his face when theres 100 odd boats already anchored there when he makes his next trip there!! nice catch and great tip off!! cheers pk

    John Dory

i have seen a few dory caught up in the cowan but they are more prevalent in the pittwater , broken bay vacinity. and yes they are a very tasty fish so if you do catch them cook them really simple no fancy marinades.. i will surely be targeting some in the harbour this winter and looking foward to targeting some winter snapper hopefully they come in numbers. the hard thing about dory is that you may get one or two but other species such as the bream and reddies move in and in my experience this might sound weird but very little berley required otherwise it attracts to much rubbish just find bait schools and structures an fish a simple rig a few metres of the bottom. good luck. boy i cant wait till my mates boat gets fixed. hopefully the harbour fires this season. cheers pk...
  19. hope you continue to have a good time and have a safe trip home. cheers pk

    John Dory

haraka is spot on with rig a, theres no need for a stinger hook chances are it will only deter these fish as they have a huge hyperextendable jaw/mouth and engulf a baitfish whole. and dont just stick to yakkas they take plenty of other lives even some i have cuaght on a pilchard.!!! just a hint clip the lvies tail as the dory arent the fastest of swimmers. try more near pittwater rather than up the hawkesbury especailly around some predominat wrecks, reef pinnicales or structure and you dont have to strictly target them at night!! and good luck!! cheers pk

    Fish Eaters Or

i havent had dollies yet looking foward to it!! i forgot to mention good old johny dory, beautiful table fish!! hopefuly some will enter the harbour in numbers his year following the massess of bait around in sydney . has anyone noticed but the harbour is full of bait, yakkas, and prawns freely swimming around as well as plenty of mullet but its been a bit quite for all the bait around!! i actually dont mind winter cause there arent the numers and the ones who do fish (not all tend to be more experienced) so you dont see AS many undersized fish taken and hooligans out there!! cheers pk
  23. stupid question i know !! but what exactly is jagging?? cheers pk
