  5. Hey all Ill be taking my boat on holidays for the first time on Saturday. The weather report is lots and lots of heavy rain. I always garage my boat and would like to know if it rains as hard as they say will any damage be done? I will remove the sounder and waterproof the connections as well as disconnect the battery. I have two new tyres, new bearings, a spare tyre, bearings, grease anda full hub as well as trolley jack and tools. Anything else I should need? cheers Paul

  7. I mainly use whole butterflied yakka or yakka fillets. Its tough trying to catch live bait in the afternoon in the river. Any good spots in the river to catch mullet? Should i be using a trap? When i fish for kings i have the bait a few metres off bottom or mid water, is it the same for jews? Thanks all
  8. Great fish, im only a little jealous.
  9. Dont tell anyone but i couldnt get bloodworm and had to use wasabi. Yeah had a good sesh in berowra more flatties and a heap of soapies, none legal but up to 44 and they put up a good fight. Yet to crack my first real jew but getting warmer.
  10. All the usual parra river haunts, near the cable ferry has been productive and also berowra. Been chipping away thursday arvos after work.
  11. Hey all Still chasing the elusive jew and seem to be getting warmer. I can reliably catch small soapies right up to 44cm but no legals yet. Does this mean im in the right spot? Or do the big ones play by different rules? Can you recommend strategy to upgrade to the big boys? Anyone else in the same boat? I have been fishing light and heavy with peeled prawns and yakkas. Cheers Paul
  12. No secret Im yet to meet someone who cant land a flatty on a bloodworm wriggler, cant beat them. I was sure it was a jew the way she stripped the line off.
