  1. good going mate, i just got back from eden the boys workn down their report the water on the shelf at 21 but no blue water in close yet,still 14-15 no slimies in the harbour, reports of a few blues off the cape and plenty of flatties mainly tiges like you described.
  2. good going mate, i hit lcr thursday after work, quick session hour and a half, for four flatties 350-500mm long all c&r.
  3. mate they are top tucker but i would have went with half for me and half for the kingies.

  5. onya joey, you knew the fish were their, weathers been fairly stable lately, i think that has a big influence on fishing the river or anywhere for that matter, good work, you certainly put in the hours, catch up soon mate.
  6. nice work slink, never been to borumba spoke about it just never got their, last toga i got was in your local the hinze, done very well with fizzers. we never fished befor 10, unless we were going for bass, we worked out as the bass went deeper we would get in and hit the edges for the togs.
  7. how u goin bassboy888, i have a couple of mates fishin the abt, keith and glen from a bluefin mj, they have been pre fishin monduran on and off for 2weeks catties, catties and more catties, they had been sayn a few boils a couple of scales but no solid hookups, not much boofn of a night. they have a base camp up at b , so if u see them say g'day there is a bit of experience on board that boat and would be happy too part with any info that might increase your chances
  8. well done guys can be a tough place to fish at times, like monduran the dam of a thousand casts.looks to be in the high 90's, still very coloured. nice cod, good yellas not bad bycatch when chasing cod.

Hey matt have u try'd woody head, its on iluka side bit more north a place called the gutter next to the blue hole, half rising to full tide best, fish half meter deep with green weed, usually thick, berley a must, watch out for wobbys though a menace on keeper nets. blue hole good for tailor and a place around the corner called the v , some of the biggest tailor their, spinning tobys! jew a posibility as well, good luck wish i was there?
  12. yeah it can be rough, on your gear and most importantly yourself. you have to look at the weather closely and never take risks!! saying that when done correctly can be a very fun and interesting day, gf dad lives at redhead(nice bowlo there)great little town, normally hit charlotte land base for tuna, cobes and kings. will pm when heading up again, a nice fillet of blackie dangling off the wall should get an inquirie.
  13. thats dedication for you, trying too tie knots and put on a frozen pillie when your fingers dont want to cooperate and all you can think about is the warm bed you just left. but with patience and persistance you reap the rewards, many a morning i can remember like that, good sambo's. btw how is the potholing going around redhead and diamond going, should be starting to get a few?
  14. theres nothing like catching a new species, ive been fishing for over 25yrs and catching a new species i still get a buzz that lasts all day, last week got a first for me an atlantic salmon from lake jindabyne. thats the effect fishing has and thats what keeps us coming back!!!
  15. chris that last fish could have been an estuary cod, ive caught them their mainly after dark, about 1-2kg.

  17. g'day raiders, a quick question, heading down too eagle range for a week? hopefully a few days on the trout either at eucumbene or jindy, any suggestions much appreciated! have fished blue mountains rivers and dams a fair bit, will be casting mainly hardbods and placcies, thanks for any info.
