Good work mate.Love the beard.Xmas is coming up and we are looking for someone to play Santa.Intrested? What's with drinking Lolly water?A big burley bloke like you should be sinking Tequillas while fishing.😂😂
Let's hope these restrictions are lifted soon.

I've got a lump the size of a rock melon right in the middle of my stomach just above my naval that suddenly appeared.(I noticed it one day).
I thought I had cancer or a hernia and had made up my mind I'm going to be told I have a stomach tumour.
I put it off for over a year until I went in and my scans came up clear.
It's annoying though as my abs have separated.
It is called Diastasis recti what I have.My intestines have come out through my abs.Cause in my case I'm assuming heavy lifting.

All rods work, we have just succumb to opinion & market strategies 😉
It's not just the fancy lures that catch fisherman that's for sure.I made the mistake of watching 5 min of a fishing show yesterday (hadn't seen one for about 10yrs) and it was all flogging how good this rod and reel was and it went on and on and on.It made me nauseous listening to the idiot.
Television shows have hit rock bottom the amount of rubbish on it.
That must be why I like being outdoors so much.

Fair enough.... so I have contacted my local MP ... my request is in the works for whatever its worth.
Here's the email I sent ... (you can cut and paste sections as you see fit if you want to send similar):
Dear Hon. Ray Williams,
There is much the government can do for us that obey the rules and are double jabbed, to help ease the COVID impact. In Greater Sydney as you know we are in our 9th week of lockdown and likely to be in such until Nov-Dec, so that’s nearly 3-4 months out of 12. All of us in lockdown have had our recreation activities affected. Many of us have not been able to use our boats or caravans but have paid all annual fees. I have tried without success to connect with Service NSW to check if there will be any consideration given for the fees we have paid for Caravan, Boat and Trailer regos, and for boat and fishing licenses. These are annual fees that are useless during lockdown. Maybe the ones that have been double vaxxed can be offered a license fee rebate as an incentive?
Lets get everyone jabbed and out of lockdown.
Keep up the good fight.
I look forward to your reply.
With Regards, ZoranLet's see what happens.I certainly wont be holding my breath.Stranger things have happened. Good luck and let us all know what they write back.

@Fab1 , that's why it's called fishing, not catching.
Looks like we be lucky to be on the water at Xmas, totally sucks really. Then I'd say it will be a zoo at the ramps.
I've been eyeing off my swimming pool and having serious thoughts about launching the tinny in there.I can gaurantee you one thing will remain consistent....I won't catch anything.😂

They do where I fish or I am asleep to register the bite.I'm going with the later.

It generally works better if you put a hook in it 😬
That's what I've been doing wrong.I've been tying my bait on the line.
11 hours ago, Yowie said:Looks like you are out near the middle of the day. The fish will be having a snooze just like you.
That was around 9am. With me it doesn't matter if I fish between the hours of 12pm-12pm I still catch zilch, nada, nothing, zero.😂

Headed out early this morning up from Lilli Pilli. Used fish strips and squid strips, the pillies only producing small reddies.
All fish caught on hand lines. Thought the larger reddie was a jewie at first, taking quite a bit of line, but then there were no big head shakes, so I was hoping the colour of the fish would be red, not silver. After a while, red colour under the boat and into the net. A nice red for this time of year up river.
Saw a couple of pillies jumping, but that was the only surface action.
Great fish and report mate.My redies I catch are the length of that ones lips.

hey mate thanks for the advice i have a million rods but im trying to find my self a fairly light drift fishing rod. mainly for up the back of estuary's for those flatty's. i was thinking the shimano viper fxg 4 to 8 kg as its fairly cheap and there good rods...
You could use a piece of pipe with line tied on and bait on the hook for flathead drift fishing and catch them if they are there..I'm a crap fisherman and have caught a few over the years drifting with 25 yr old crappy big w gear.
I've caught flatties, bream, whiting, flounder, tailor, luderick, and a few others over the years on that said crappy gear with 4kg mono and size 1 or 6 hooks with various baits.
Even a handling drifting will catch them.
Like the others said get something in the 3-5 kg class and you'll be fine.
Good luck.

One thing Fab
Well Fab, I would like a haircut. I am nearing (well, nearly) my younger days at high school and for a few years after, when I only had one haircut a year. With the front receding a bit and thinning a bit on top, long hair does not suit. 🤣
At least you're not growing a beard on your head like this bloke.

Australia is still the best country in the world.
That's debatable and certainly not as good as it once was.But I know where you're coming from.

This is nothing compared to what people went through over the centuries before us.
A few weeks of us and kids being stuck inside isn't going to kill us.
What gets me is people whinging they can't go to the pub, gym, hair dressers etc.
People are losing everything including their lives and these imbecilles are whinging oh my poor kid is stuck inside or I can't get my nails done, etc, etc.
Personally for me I count my blessings I still have a job and my family is all alive.Everything else doesn't even come into the equation.
Not much has changed really for my family as we don't do much anyway.I know each person/family is different but geez whinging about not being able to go to some of these places will get you shot down if you whinge to me about it.
Intrested to hear others thoughts too.

Here's my reason for stating my comment above.
Ask yourselves this....How many boating fatalities has there been regardless of boat size, configuration, people on board etc over the years and they haven't been wearing a pfd for whatever reason?More than 1?
In my book that's one to many and if wearing a pfd to have just saved one of those lost lives it is worth wearing one all the time for me regardless .
The problem is even if it's made mandatory the authorities have no chance of catching and prosecuting those doing the wrong thing.
As long as my family is doing the right thing there's we're less likely to become a statistic.
That's all we can do.
-
Wear it all the time period.Personally I've never understood why it's such a drama to wear one of the new modern ones.

Hey Raiders,
My boat insurance was due for renewal. As I was finalising my review of the policy I remembered there was a LAY UP option, so I called in and had them run a few scenarios. They offer 5% off the policy premium for each month of layup (max 6mths). Given we are in Lockdown and unable to use the boat for Sept and most likely October, I nominated both of those months for now and saved 10%. I can call in and nominate additional months or pay a small amount for the months I take off lay up if the restrictions ease.
Anyway, just thought that I'd share. No point paying for insurance that we can't use.
Cheers Zoran
Thanks for the info mate.It would be great if the same applies to boat/trailer rego,fishing/boat license too as that's all getting wasted for many too.
