  1. Good read.Judging by the baitboard in the photo you used plastics? All the best to the old man for another 60yrs.
  2. Good one.lol. I wouldn't recommend saying this next time someone's pinged speeding. While I was driving down the freeway the other day, (going a little faster than I should have been) I passed under a bridge only to see a copper on the other side with a radar gun laying in wait. The copper pulled me over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronising smirk, asked: "Runway too short?" to which I replied, "I'm late for work." To which he asked, "What do you do?" I'm a rectum stretcher," I responded. The copper was surprised and confused. "A what? a rectum stretcher?? And just what does a rectum stretcher do?" " Well," I said, "I start by inserting one finger, then I work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in, I work side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch the hole, until it's about 6 feet." Then the copper asked questioningly and cautiously, "And just what do you do with a six-foot arsehole?" To which I politely replied, "You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge..."
  3. I haven't been out in ages due to various reasons mate.I will be out again very soon and do love reading everyone's reports.
  4. My niece that lives down the coast is looking at getting a Kayak. From what i've seen out on the water and online, they aren't the safest vessel to be in are they?
  5. Thanks. The Hitch pin and tow ball lock become useless when a thief unbolts the 2 coupling bolts removing it and refitting their own coupler then hitching to their car and driving off. I can imagine coming back to your car after a great days fishing to see the trailer gone and only a coupling attached to the towball with its lock still intact isn't the best feeling in the world. For that little bit more peace of mind I weld all the nuts on my towbar/s and coupling to make it a little harder for them. These tips are good for bullbars, spotlights, racks etc that you don't want to go walkabout.
  6. I could do with a pallet load of those to hand out to some of the blokes at work to place under their arms.Im starting to think rotten bait smells better. As for terminal tackle I keep a old Gatorade powder container with soapy water on board and throw unneeded Hooks, swivels etc In.Give it a good shake and let them air dry on a cloth before putting away when I get home. Another great tips is your boat makes a great clothesline as mine is always covered In them by my wife.??
  7. Always enjoy reading your posts mate.
  8. Not being rude mate, but perhaps your first post should start with an introduction of yourself and maybe a few polite comments to people's fishing reports etc before you ask for fishing spots off the bat. Anyway,Welcome to this site that has a wealth of information and seeing you are from Camden you can try fishing places like port hacking, botany bay and even down windang.Im no expert by any means but areas of weed adjacent to rocky ground and sand has produced for me at times. Look fwd to seeing more comments and encouragement from you on here in the future to your fellow raiders. All the best.
  9. Your welcome. Exactly. Thanks. Thanks. You can use stainless split pins too if you like on those rollers. Thanks mate I'm glad it helps.
  10. Yes,it applies to the overdrive top gears in a 5sp manual and above.A 4 sp manual 4th is it's 1:1 strongest gear.Older 4sp autos like in the commodores and Falcons for instance you should put the gear shift in 3rd while towing. Yowie has given some great tips to everyone too. Remember the harder the car has to work the higher the risk of transmission failure.. This is an example of how I tow using my 5sp manual Hilux and my 6sp auto cerato. With the Hilux I tow on the freeway using 5th gear when the road is flat and slightly down hill with a tailwind. As soon as there is a slight grade or I'm travelling into the wind I put it in 4th. If I'm climbing steep grades it's usually 2nd or 3rd gear and when decending steep grades it's 3rd or even 2nd depending on the severity. With my cerato I keep it out of drive and manually shift gears from start of trip to finish using all 6 gears as above.I only use 6th on perfectly flat, slight downhill with a tailwind.

    Happy father's Day.

Just hope you don't walk out to this.lol.
  12. No problem. The ironic thing is many people tow in top thinking you actually save a heap more fuel when infact if you slow down a little and tow in saw 4th you don't use that much more if any. Thanks mate. This post may just save someone that isn't aware of the risks to be towing in top.
  13. Happy daddy's day to all the father's out there.Hope you all have a great day with the most important people in your lives and gain about 5 kilos today eating some great food and drink.I know I Will.?
  14. If your running a old 4 speed tow in 3rd,running 5 speed tow in 4th,6speed in 5th etc.
  15. Will do.Hows this one then for all the idiots we come across on a daily basis.I think I'd need a 44gallon drums worth to hand out as that container wouldn't last 5 minutes.
  16. Not bad is it?That's what I tried to post the other day that couldn't be opened for some reason.I bet many of you guys can relate to it.
  17. You are a smart man Zoran. There's plenty of gullible people that attend these sorts of shows and fall for the sales pitch of the salesman. They know that for every fish missed there's plenty more to be caught. Its the same at any shop, car dealers etc. They are there to tell you what you want to hear to make a sale and are always your best mate for those few moments before the sale. After the sale it's usually Asta la vista with the after sales service.etc. Having said I'm noticing more and more of those people that believe anything they hear and are led along like sheep so nothing will change.

    Jack safety

It's perfect for the fish plate, axle and frame with pumped up tyres but only good for the axle and frame with flat tyres due to the reduced clearance.

My nephew loves playing with the welder. Not fantastic welds but do the job.
  20. That's the key.Have the item removed as soon as it's sold from all sites.
  21. I agree mate and don't blame you from putting adds elsewhere. sites I follow have similar rules that discourages members from posting due to similar circumstances. When selling something you want to attract as many prospective buyers as possible and when sites have all these types of rules for this and that they effectively shoot themselves in the foot when members don't post. Maybe the site can lighten the rules just a little in this regard Donna.Just my thoughts.

Yeah, that or using some large diameter c section I have here was my initial thought too. It wouldn't fit everywhere I wanted it to with a flat tyre. Im going to add rubber to the flat bar for added grip before I pack it in the boat.
  23. You can't spend better quality time together "alone" with the wide than that mate.I really enjoyed the read.
