    Shed clean out

I won't be moving anywhere mate,I can tell you that now. That shed near the water sounds good though. The floor is what I'm trying to clear.

    Shed clean out

I often ask myself how a family of three gathers so much Sxxt(stuff). That's just the tip of the iceberg and like I said let me know if you have bored kids and I'll guarantee they'll never be bored again. Im going to the doctors soon too because I've decided I have issues. Cheers.

    Shed clean out

Cleaning out the shed and have finished organising the Gardening shelf.Problem Is I have a little bit more to go.I think I remember there was a workbench somewhere there.
  4. Fresh is best for sure, but servo prawns and pillys will catch the odd fish too. With squid try to buy squid tubes from your fish monger and use them as strip baits. As for type of hook and pillys I find long shank bait feeder hooks in size 1 or 1/0 work for us for those species mentioned. I always rig half pillys cut diagonally and if using the tail section pin it once about 1cm in from the cut end so the eye of the hook lies just past the wrist of the pilchards tail and put a couple of half hitches around the hook and the tail. With the head section I pass the hook through the pilchards eye twice and then pin the bait in the same area as above pulling the slack line up taught. Try to rig pillys up semi frozen or salted as they go very soft fairly quickly when completely thawed. I find a running rig with a 1-1.5 meter trace superior to a short one which I use to use too as it slows the bait to drift around more naturally in my opinion and will stay higher off the bottom away from those pesky toads and small fish hidding in the weedbeds etc. I'm no expert by far but these things have helped us in our fishing adventures. Try to use some kind of burley too. Good luck with it.
  5. Yep,and I was the neighbourhood kids bike and billy cart repairer. I did similar to my mrs when asked to do the washing.I chucked all the whites in with the colours and hae never been asked again.
  6. I was asked if I could do the mowing before the rain came.I told the mrs that I couldn't as the mower won't start when I pull the cord.So I brought her to the shed and showed her this.lol.She was lucky I have spare mowers and got the lawns done for her.Next time I'll tell her I can't remember how it goes back together.lol.

Great report Yowie as usual.I love fishing when I get a chance to get out but like your son, nothing and I mean nothing is getting me up at 3:30am to go fishing.Ill stay out until 3:30am or longer no sweat, but I ain't getting up at that time. Enjoy the feeds.
  10. You need to seperate the caliper halves to lube the slides properly. throw up some photos,I would like to see how bad they look if you don't mind.
  11. There's a famous saying in my language that translates loosely to....the lazy man always does the work twice.Pull the lot apart, clean, lube the caliper slides with silicon grease and adjust the cable correctly.Spend the half hour and do it right from the get go.

    Bate Bay

Now that I agree with mate.
  13. You could re-wire the Queen Mary with 8mm cable.4mm wire from battery + & - to the switch panel is plenty.2mm from the switch panel to your accessories is ample too. I have my nav, bildge, strip lights, sounder all running like this from a single battery no worries at all.

  16. That's your lower swivel hub engine mount.
  17. I hear whinging wives are a good fit in them freezers.
  18. Lovely fish.Where you trying to catch a meter bream with the 30lb trace also?
  19. They got off lightly if you ask me.If I made the law,I would personally tie a anchor to each of their feet and help them overboard.I could then gaurantee they wouldn't re-offend.I have no time for these idiots at all.
  20. My hat goes off to you mate for being one of the few that cares for their trailer. She wouldn't have lasted like that if you hadn't cared for her the way you have. She's a beauty.
  21. Run a straight edge rule along the bottom of the hull and lower the base of your transducer to the top of the rule. The base of the transducer should be level with the hull.
  22. That's a good candidate for the humble ally rivet mate.A 2 second job and you won't need to worry about it again. That transducer sticks out that far you almost need a orange flag attached to it whilst under tow.Or use it as a diving board.
  23. Keep in mind a tyres MAX load rating is based on the MAX pressure. My tyres on my tinny are rated at 670kg a tyre on a single axle trailer. That's 1340kg a pair at 64psi.My tinny weighs 550kg fully loaded to fish and the optimum pressure for me which gives me an increase of 4 psi from a stone cold tyre to one that's up to temp means I run them at 40psi. It is rare on most trailer/boat combos to have/need your tyres inflated to maximum capacity.
