  3. then move when asked/told/ordered happy police state
  4. I'm guessing that your looking to fish the river if so fishing the bank around the jew hole for bream and jew use your boat and over to white rock for blackfish, beam, the odd flatty and jew. spinning with chrome lures for tailor and maybe bonnito over at the boatshed off the bank for bream and flatties also can be a good place to catch some herrings for live bait drifting along the walls with livies for big flatties a good chance of a jew and some bloody big bream, spinning with large plastics for jew I haven't done this my self but blokes I know have for some bigens if your going to try for bream out of your boat plastics will work using bait either use a long leader and enough weight to hold bottom or a small sinker running up to the hook and cast towards the bank lots of pickers but some good fish aswell. hope that helps BTW if you want a shot out side use one of the pro's there.

    Tides?

if your fishing in tidal rivers you have to wait for the tide to change the bigger the river the longer it takes, also a full moon makes bigger tides and so on
  8. I have heard of that before in Hawaii they drive down to the sea where there are steep drop offs and catch some huge fish.

    grinner

yeah got a 5 incher last week in botany bay lol
  10. you could try the south coast I don't mean JB but you could go down to the tubes if your keen enought, you could try the northern break wall at port kembla a safe spot and every thing from beam to kings you can catch live bait on the inside of the wall. A little further south theres windang island a fairly safe spot with 2 beaches either side and a little further south you could try black head not to be fished in rought weather but a good spot for bonnies salmon kings also a neat little black fishing spot all these locations you can catch bait yakkas mainly but some times there is slimies and frigetes about if you try the blowhole be very careful evan in calm conditions power waves can wash over the point that said it can be a productive spot BTW you catch live bait in the habour there "yakkas"
  11. The mandatory waring of PFD’s is not about saving lives or revenue raising, just another little form of control, another small law so the noose tightens’ the power that be want a compliant population’ just do as your told. Children at school are trained to do as the authorities tell them like no hat no play! How long before every one will have to wear a hat when outside? For our own good of course

    the cloud

I was reading an article the other day about anything that you posted on the net is still in the virtual cloud if so how would you go about retrieving them? IE pictures that I posted on Fishraider years ago, some of great mate that has since passed when we fished together in the bay. What I did have is now corrupted. Any ideas?
  13. back in the day i knew blokes that fished for crabs using long handled wire nets and strong spotlights all they would do was idle against the current and scoop the crabs as they spotted them that was for blue swimmers i can't remember if they got muddies this way but i do know they got the odd flounder.
  14. looking for a life jacket to fit a fat person meaning me, I have seen life jackets saying 60+ I was 60 plus at 13 and I've only got bigger since' the other day at the beach a life saver asked me to please get out of the water to let the tide in my favorite fat joke what life jacket do you think best for a way over 60+ fella
  15. Thanks Garry’ got to admit I’m more than a little rusty and I’m not use to being in a boat for that long and I’m aching like a bitch, I thing I’m carrying a little too much forward ballast.
  16. Hit the bay today first proper fishing trip in 6 years, my nephew had a few things to do early so it was a late start 1 pm before we had the boat in the water. We headed out from the foreshore drive ramp and only went 300 metres or so before we had fish feeding on the surface, flicking out a small chrome lure hook a tailor first cast 32cm not bad we spent the next hour chasing them but they were very shy and only managed 4 keepers and a couple of throw backs, Deciding that enough is enough we headed outside to see if we could find some flatties we found some tidlers and the jackets found us' tried a some moves but it seemed the jacket were following us around so we figured that we would go for a troll no luck there we couldn't see any birds working, after an hour or so we gave on that and came back in side and dropped the pick at mol point, things were pretty quiet there but we weren't in the mood to go any where else but we did pick up a bluter of 35cm on peeled prawn plus 2 more tailor of 35cm on lures so not to bad all up. The bay was as flat as and outside was pretty good also it was overcast all day with the odd shower water temp was 20 degrees in and out.
