Don't you just love finding boats like that! Bit of acetone on that gunnel rubber and will bring it up really nice!

Congrats, any pics of the inside? Does it need any work?
  4. I had a 4.1m, gave up. I had to do gymnastics while fishing. Bought a bigger boat. Best thing
  5. iTunes will definitely be better and easier. Get all your songs into iTunes Create new playlist. Drag them over. Done.
  6. Hi mate, Loved the report! Good to see you looking after your stuff. Shame about the paint. I had a few alloy boats in my time and I was lucky I never got that problem. Next time, get a glass boat! That just reminded me why I prefer glass but the again you have to worry about rot! Have you sent photos to Quintrex about the dash? I would!! See what they do.
  7. Hi guys, In the market for maps. Which one is better? I do have Navionics on my phone but I have never seen C-Map and curious to see how they compare. Lowrance base map is crap btw! I thought I would be able to use it as is! Apparently I was driving my boat on sand banks! Garmin built in maps is much better in that respect!
  8. Hi Donna! Looking forward to seeing this! I can't access the video even by copying the link. You have posted a https: so you are already logged in. You need to provide a different link if possible.

    Any pics of your V-Sea?
  10. Thanks guys. But i assure you, as you start to gain more experience and fall in love with the water, you will add more gear. Do it right the first time and you will be adding things real easy. You might add: Led strip lights Front spot light 12v socker Underwater lights Stereo Who knows. Switch panels are good too, the 6gang is my favourite with the built in 12v socket. Comes in handy!
  11. Hey mate, Check out the bluesea systems! Awesome! Do you already have a power stud or bus? A place where all the +ve and -ve go? Have a look of what I have done.
  12. Hi mate, Welcome You are going to have to upgrade Or I would be using that as an excuse to get a 6M+ I am pretty sure I read an article somewhere that a Haines Signature crossed over to New Zealand or Tasmania, I just can't find the article. Anyway I just had a look at some images of Huon Valley, you will be fine! Looks like the Hawkesbury River.
  13. Mine was when I was a rookie. Think I only had 3 trips under my belt. Thought I would go to Lion Island for the day. I read the report, said catastrophic winds late afternoon. Amyway we were fishing, was dead flat. We were catching heaps of fish, then all the boats left at 1pm. I was happy, had the whole place to myself! An hour later the winds hit like someone hit the switch. We had mini whirpool around us in seconds. We decided to cut the fishing lines. At the time I was protected by the island. Soon as we started to head back to Brooklyn boat ramp and we passed the island, it was crazy! Waves were quite big, I am in a 4.1 tinny. At one stage I had a huge wave behind me and I remember looking back and my mate yelling - GUN IT!!! Never forget! There were heaps of people arriving at the boat ramp. Some guys were past Palm Beach! Crazy! Never rely on one source for weather conditions!
  14. Anyone have some other first hand experiences being caught in a storm?
  15. Hey mate, I don't target squid but form what I always read, go over the weed beds behind the pill boxes. The other side. That is where I have read that they hang out.
  16. Yea that is the one. I can never get enough of watching that. I was at Bobbin head that day and the storm came in so hard but was over in 5 minutes.
  17. Lucky you, hope to have a holiday house there one day myself! I've been outside the heads, not much action that day, but the bar seems ok to cross, I am sure it has it's bad days! The waterways there are beautiful, always fish the channel there by the airport strip when everyone is gone (skiers etc) and you will always catch something! One day I was hungry, was too hard to get food so joked around no worries, I will catch some fish! Landed a monster trevally could of been a GT and some bream! We ate them fresh, awesome day!
  18. Funny, I am just at work talking about this. So I am a Web/Digital Designer. Sitting in a team of 3 designers now which is good. Girl plays guitar, Dude next to me is more of a House DJ, I used to play piano but stopped, love acoustic guitar...one day I will pick it up and play like the Gipsy Kings, but I love music and wanted to become a Sound Engineer back in the day. I used to lay my own tracks etc from samples. Would love doing it. As I type, I am currently playing Gatecrasher anthems, but also love Aussie pub songs, RnB and Reggaeton. So a little side tracked, but there you go!
  19. I had no idea he passed. Didn't hear about it. Actually I think I know why, I was on leave with no reception. I normally listen/read the news.
  20. But yes, the above will be a problem.
  21. Pull that hose out. Grab an air compressor and shoot air through it. Your gauge should move. If it doesn't move, then something else is wrong, probably need a new gauge.
  22. Where are the stingers on these things? Near their mouth? I've caught many catfish and didn't really know about this, I've always just un hooked them.
  23. If you want stainless steel like the one on the right, you won't get any change, you would need at least $2k +
  24. I don't think it will stop it form working, it more than likely just won't be as accurate. Run an air compressor hose through your speedo hose and see if it moves the speedo gauge. That's how I test it.
