  1. BTW, awesome video!! Enjoyed watching that. Was wondering what day you went out because I know the weekend was a bit crazy!
  2. I reckon you should go for a walk around the block after you finish cleaning up and before you sleep! Give those muscles a good stretch
  3. Damn, I have always bought the Meguirs option! Any pics of before and after? Or at least the shiny new headlights?

    New car

No I am talking about DPF - Diesel Particulate Filter http://www.drive.com.au/tips-and-advice/qa-diesel-particulate-filter-20150821-gj4sz0.html
  6. Was just looking at this. See if this happens on your end. I view the wind in Km/h - tomorrow is around 30km/h If i change it to knots, then I get 11 knot winds. 11.8 knots = 21km/h winds. Something wrong here or am I missing something? Same place, time, location!

    Winch Issue

I keep two handles. One in the car and one in the boat. If you can leave it in your anchor well then that is fine. That is if you have a closing anchor well and no winch in the way. Otherwise I have seen people tie there handle with wire attached to a screw.
  8. I have seen these 4WD winches on boats before. Have you thought about power supply to the winch?
  9. I was just having a look myself! Where are you launching form?
  10. Cool, because mine didn't do that! I like the Garmin maps!
  11. Shouldn't you mention what you caught too? Great Mackeral Beach - Love that place. Caught bream and trevally!

    New car

Mazda 3? So it might have 600kg for towing but that isn't that great. What if you upgrade your boat? What if you want to take 4 passengers that day with some extra weight? You probably wouldn't be able to do that in a Mazda 3. If it was me and I had $25k, I would be looking for a car with under 50,000kms that can tow decent. Subaru Forester would be nice, but they run a DPF or used to. So I would avoid that. I would go to the Toyota Rav 4 or the Honda CRV as a minimum.

    Motor options

Yes, I agree, I wouldn't rebuild an old motor. See if you have find a more modern motor for your budget.
  14. This is my one. If i was to run the new bronze thru hull that will allow down vision, it will stick out on the sides as the new design is different. This is why i just stayed with mine. Can you post some pics of yours like i took of mine?
  15. Just from your photo of the Thru Hull box looks like the yellow in there is water that's all. Mate that is a real bargain. I scored a venus, same hull as yours with 80 hours. Boat was like new. Pretty much one owner, just passed down the family but the guy never used it. One I have now is like new too. 120 hours and two owners. Staying with me for a long time I hope! Great boats!
  16. Did you find that much water in your thru hull box?
  17. Hi, I left mine as is. Mine is a 2005 model so I can live with it. I bought a new Lowrance Gen 3 and I am not fussed that id doesn't have chirp, down scan or side scan. I did purchase the updated thru hull transducer for it, but they are designed differently and If I was going to change it, the new base of the thru hull would of gone over my runners along the hull. Would of looked horrible. So I decided to keep mine. I would of done it myself with a lot of swearing as I think it will be hard getting the sikaflex off. Me personally, I would use it too, I wouldn't go mounting a transducer on the back when you have a thru hull.
  18. Hi mate, You sure that is a rubber seal/plug? I have the Seafarer Victory. I have the Airmar P319 fitted. The rubber seal/plug is the transducer unless I am miss understanding something.
  19. Young child, then hit the Hawkesbury, even WIndsor. It's pretty quite over there.
  20. Did the Lowrance put you onto the Kingy?
  21. Can someone PM me who the person is? There is a place in Windsor that does Boat Repairs that will carry that work out too.
  22. I looked into this. Cheap option, google: RinseKit Second option, google: 12v Portable water tank I am just going to get one of them.
  23. My wife and I went to the Royal Show and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls.. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said, ' THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR ' My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs .......Smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year, that's almost once a week.' We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said, ''THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR' My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice! a week ! .........You could learn a lot from him.' We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters, 'THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR' My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day .You could REALLY learn something from this one.' I looked at her and said, 'Go over and ask him if it was with the same cow.' My condition has been upgraded from critical to stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.
  24. Cool, where did you get these done? PM if not a sponsor.
