Nice work Roberta, but if that's a soft case you're running a big risk to your rods. Cap a PVC pipe and have the rods taped together and the ends stuffed with rags for 100% peace of mind. Have a great trip. Hope you brain them monster kings and snapper! PS.. Bring your reels in your carry on but check in your spools just to be safe. They don't like fishing line in your carry on...

Agree.. But the game is played a lot faster these days then back yesteryear. Don't agree about the two teams to make the GF are the ones that draw in the biggest crowds, cause they are playing on saturday, dogs and rabbits. Manly draw the least and they'll be there to go back to back!!! I suppose when it's state of origin and it's 1 game a piece and they play a decider... Do you think it's rigged? Go Manly... No one likes us and we don't give a sh$t!!!

Mate I agree the refs this year have been shocking but there is no chance the cowboys would've got that game last night. The cowboys strip should've been a penalty to Manly. Cherry finds touch, ballin taps, gives it to T-Rex who bust them wide open, draws in Bowen then unloads to Snake who plants it under the posts. Killer kicks it and the score is Manly 18 cows 6. No way cows can come back from that, it's not like they're a Quality side like the mighty EAGLES!!!!!

Mate that's fishing for you, nothing's ever guaranteed, if it was it would be called catching. That's why i love it so much. Berluy with bread, not to much thou. 2kg handline, no14 long shank, smallest split shot or sinker you can get and mince for bait.

Bloody hell champ, great haul of squiddies there and your old man has more squid jigs than some tackle shops.... Awesome!!! I hit the harbour last night to stock up on squid for bait, I wanted to get some like yours but could only manage 3 x 2kg southerns.... Going to eat them instead. Good luck today, hope you get a few.

Plenty of bait around the mouths, I was chasing squid last night in the harbour, and saw heaps of yakkas and gars in the lower reaches. The water is so clean this time of year and especially with the lack of rain that some fish like to explore further up river, maybe because they can see better.
