Living I'm warriewood, narrabeen bait and tackle is only 5 minutes away and would be your best bet for advice. In ur situation I would try narrabeen lakes, targeting flathead, bream, whiting etc. for a feed.
Hey raiders,
Going to upgrade my current heavy plastics/lure rod, and am looking for any suggestions. The price mark is $450 MAX! I need something to target small kings but mainly Jews and big flattys. So far I'm thinking of a rarenium ci4 300 with a samiki zing 7ft 2pc 8-15lb. I will mainly be fishing land based if that helps. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Kind regards
Mr. Fish
I fish there regularly and can say there are a lot of bad people and also some very nice guys. Go mid week and during the day and I assure you there will be little crowds and good quality people.
Use anything that can absorb water such as bread or pellets. Next add tuna oil which really gets the fish fired up but doesn't let them feed, making them still hungry for your bait.
Great fish as usual. I was talking to a guy at a tackle shop and he said squid have been dashing the grubs! So I think maybe it could have been squid, and they weren't actually hook, just holding on.
Depends, if in rocky areas go for a paternoster or even a flot. If your concerned about the weight just use a lighter sicker. Fish with as lighter sinker as possible, if there's no current just use a little all sinker or even unweighted. Fresh baits are the go. Either squid or yakka would be my preference. Good luck!
They don't usually live in the baths. However there are prawns and other crustaceansmincluding cunji which people may have been collecting for bait. May advice is to persist with the stink bag as the results are worthwhile once you get the hang of it
