    There's pier 2 which is a very good spot at times. Plenty of kingies, salmon, tailor, Bonnie's and bream from time to time. However it is very very deep and a large jig head I think will need to be used.

    Great report. It looks like you were straight out from the top right hand corner of the wharf . How far from this point where you fishing?

    The shimano t curve inshore series is great. I believe there a 7 foot 4-7 kg so that would be perfect.

    It's in pittwater so the mercury levels would be pretty low but still wouldn't eat it

    I use black magic 40lb but I've heard dogtooth is really good so maybe give that a try

    For a Jew I'd go 30-40 pound line and if hooking sharks frequently maybe a bit heavier. As for leader definitely go fluorocarbon. I'd say anything from 20-40 for Jews but if hooking sharks go heavier. Jewies aren't particularly leader shy ( as I've read). As for hooks it really depends on the bait anything from 3/0 to 7/0. If holding your rod use octopus hooks so you can set the hook, however f leaving the rod in a holder got circles so the fish can hook itself. Anyway hope I've helped Mr. Fish
