  1. Ive picked up a nice occy off a pylon like that but that was sight fishing haha. Have lured a couple big squid from under a wharf but they didnt take the lure
  2. Great stories guys! Scratchie, that kingy would have been a pig for sure to have busted off so many people! sydneyfisher12 that's another great story, not often you hear of that!! just shows the lazy behaviours of fish like bream and flathead.
  3. Hi guys, wondering if anyone else has a similar story, I'm sure you do. Using circles properly for the first time today for bream and have to say they work well. Had a take and a small run, then snap! Thought a flattie chopped me off. About a half hour later, another take and up comes a nice bream with the circle hook I lost earlier! Pretty satisfied getting my hook back haha.
  4. How do you eat it mate? Just with the sauce?
  5. Thats a great catch regardless!! You often see whiting buzz around your feet when your pumping nippers. How deep wer you fishing mate? Cheers John.
  6. Fresh taylor is yum! If you can find the edge where the dirty water meets clear water your in with a chance for jewies too
  7. Thats a fair call mate, always best to try position your boat to get your baits where you want them.. but the reef can complicate things! I wouldnt overcomplicate the rig mate, a long dropper sounds good. Making sure ur bait sits well in the current is important too otherwise it will twist on itself. Cheers
  8. Plenty of squid to be had in the bay atm, if ur having trouble finding them with your jigs..fish with sp's and theyl jump on. Always yakkas in yarra bay
  9. hey mate, try dropping your weighted baits to the bottom then wind up a meter or 2. this should avoid the rubbish.
  10. Looking forward to all the bbqs in summer haha

  15. Looks great mate! Sometimes worth having a flick in very shallow water.
  16. Well done mate, I had my obsession for about a month to tempt a bream on plastics but gave up! Trusty flatties for a feed every time.
