  1. That's exactly what Ive done for years! Then you can go back and have a look at what you did the same time last year! There is an absolute abundance of info on this site! I'm very thankful for fishraider! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Well done. Looks like a good time was had by all. Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Great work Sam. We sure are blessed to live in this country. Some of the things you see on the water are just amazing. Sometimes fish are just a bonus! Cheers scratchie!!!

  8. Cheers Cheers. Yep just using prawn! I use the poppers in the summer months when the water is warmer!
  9. G'day raiders, Well with both the wife's and my holidays drawing to a close, we decided to head out in the bay with the younger ones and pick up a feed of whiting! The wind was blowing a little bit harder than I would have liked but we still managed to find a few spots to get our fix! The whiting were coming thick and fast right from the go and the kids had a ball. A quick drop off to the takeaway shop for hot chips for lunch and back on the boat to collect a few more. It was a great day out on the water with the family! Tight lines all, cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Good guess! Had the place to myself!
  11. Mate, Lol I had no temp, no depth sounder, no gps! It crapped itself but I still found them! The toe test wasn't too bad!
  12. My boat is only 4.7m but in staying that I know the area pretty well. Boating is about confidence and experience. I have gone to Broughton in a boat that size but yes, you have to pick your days!
  13. Thanks Phil. Yes mate, the boys just loves fishing and the journey. He's a really good kid and I enjoy spending time with all my kids! Besides, watching him get railed today made my day
  14. G'day raiders, Well after a few fruitless sessions up QLD, it was good to restore the faith today with a few nice ones for the table. It was good session with the boy and we seemed to have Broughton to ourselves. Scratchie Jnr got stretched and so did I. Left home at 530 and home by 9 before the southerly kicked in. Gotta love fishing at home! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Happy birthday Donna! Mine was two days ago! Not really enjoying getting older! Don't know about you? Haha! ? Cheers scratchie!!!
  16. Good to see you still casting Simon! Nice catches there bro! Tried at Yarramundi yesterday for no return but wasn't the best part of the day! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Good on you Phil. Sounds like a great trip anyway! Fishing was certainly hard, with the wind playing havoc most days. Our total in wooli wasn't great but what an awesome part of Aust! Home now too mate and so many bloody tourists! Lol cheers scratchie!!!
  18. The boy managed to spin up a Trev! A couple of flatties and that was it!
  19. Thanks for the tip Phil. I went and had a go but no luck. Tough fishing this area without a boat I think. Beautiful part of the world though!
