  1. Nice! Great fighting fish the old trevally! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Lol, I should do Craig, my boat has auto pilot for Broughton! Haha i was using my usual weapon, 1/4 4/0xh tt nitro jig paired with a 5inch zman shad in coconut ice. This is the best lure/jig pairing for snapper bar none! I was fishing in 8-15m of water. Pretty skinny but I was lucky as he headed for the deep! If they are on fire, I’ll use a 1/4 5/0xh with a 7inch same colour. On the flatty, a 1/6 3/0 nitro 5inch zman in pilchard. Next time your up mate, hit me up for a tour! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Too funny yowie! The bloody iPhone didn’t charge! Lucky I have an internal body clock for fishing!
  4. Went back to basics this morning after running around for the kids. Launched yak and second cast bang, nice flatty! Little scratchie managed one too!
  5. Cheers mate! Only flicking for flatty this morning for an hour so! Gotta run around after kids
  6. Cheers Baz. The warmer water is on its way Thanks. Thanks and good luck!
  7. G’day raiders, Just a quick report from up here. Fished Friday arvo with the family minus the eldest who now has a car and doesn’t know where Home is! (17). Anyway, very windy and took an hour to find a spot but we finally found our target and managed 25 whiting between the 5 of us. Headed to Broughton after a late start due to an alarm malfunction. It was very quiet and water was filthy and the best temp we got was 19.0 worst was 17.4. I only managed one bite on sps but a solid one it was and in came a nice snaps at 73cm. Also scored a sea bream at 35cm and a bonito. Caught a heap of reds at 30cm but all released. Found a pack of rat kings that kept us amused for a while but overall a tough day! Thanks for reading, cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Good work bazza and good to see you out and about! I’m heading up there in the morning! Hopefully I can get a few! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Hahaha, I must be getting old. I didn’t even see that!
  10. I’d take the 20 min drive and fish tillgerry creek or soldiers point and fish the bay! I might be a little bias though! cheers scratchie!!!
  11. I often use whiting and tailor for Jew. A slimie head for snapper is a gun bait. I also use bonito for kings and marlin! As paddyT said, fish eat fish! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Great report Sam and I’m glad your happy your boat! Just don’t let your dad put the fuel in! Haha cheers scratchie!!!
  13. I feel your pain rick! We can put up with many weather conditions but wind is the worst. Let’s hope next weekend is better as I’ve got my Comp on! cheers scratchie!!!

  17. Ummm, I remember following you at glenbawn and he banked it because he thought he did! Enjoy, great place! My kids loved it up there. Will have to return one day!
  18. Looks awesome guys! Enjoy yourselves and for memory, don’t forget to put the bungs in swordie! cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Losing a good fish is always what makes us go back for more! I’d say you hooked a kingy. Once they see the boat they usually take a second run and that sounds what has done you! I never adjust my drag during the fight and have seen many people come undone doing this. Adjust your drag prior to the fish your targeting and play it out! Just my opinion! Better luck next time! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. If it makes you feel any better, I had a shocker today too! Perfect conditions for my usual snapper haunts and not a touch! Sometimes fishing can be like that. Lucky I found some kings to save the day and managed 3 legal out of 30 rats! Next time mate!!! cheers scratchie!!!
  21. It was from the hard fight it put up on the hand line!
