  1. They both are! One is an optimist and one a realist.
  2. Don't tell me your afraid of a koala dave? Lol. Feral dog???
  3. Nice work James. There's always a rewarding feeling landing some good fish off the beach. You definately have a productive gutter there. Well done Cheers scratchie!!! P.s Brando has caught many jew as he's always first to put his hand up to come with dad. But we haven't been for a while, so might have to sneak out soon!
  4. Well done mate. Always great to be a part of that experience! It makes the beer on the way home taste even better! Cheers scratchie!!!

  7. Great stuff Jacob! I could feel your excitement in the post. It certainly is a fish to remember! Congrats Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Have a look at our record section...... http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=16755#entry136426 The second record was caught a JB. 42,5kg! Definately possible but never let the truth get in the way of a good story! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Work the drop offs and oyster racks. 100mm bloodworm squidgy wriggler or silver fox are dynamite. 1/8-1/4 jig. Also unweighted ganged pillies slowly rolled will work also!
  10. That's a great pic! It goes to show you, where you catch one it's always worth another cast into the same spot! Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. These guys do an amazing job up here, as do all the volunteers. It certainly makes me feel a lot safer on the water! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. What a great recipe craig! Thank you for taking the time to write it out for our members. It will be interesting to see how everyone goes! I'll give it a try in the coming weeks myself Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Papa fish, At least you landed something. Don't be upset by fisheries doing there job. Good to see there out and about policing our waterways! That's our hard earned dollars at work! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Yeah good stuff mate! Sure the others weren't catching all them brown longneck marlin! Haha
  15. Try corlette beach at high tide with some prawns or nippers. You should get something there. The whiting we caught seemed to be more shallow than normal.
  16. I'm with the collective, red morwong. Well done on the rest of your catch too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  17. Water is dirty and very tough fishing. I took some raiders out last night and was even tough for me to find the fish. We managed a few whiting and a nice flatty but that was from a boat!
  18. We headed out today to the carpark. Found water a constant 24.9-25.0deg. Didn't turn a reel all day and only had one have a look at our spread. Same temp at the fad and clear water. No much bait out there either. Still nice to get out there though. Your only a chance if you have lines in the water, so thanks for the ride Gerry! Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. Friday 9;00am No wind at all. The rain has cleared. The swell is about 2.5m and inshore is a light chocolate colour with water temp about 21deg.
  20. Thursday 19:30 The wind has died down dramatically. The swell is still pumping and I can see the shoal bay bombie being surfed by the locals. Mind you this is inside the headland. The water is tannin but the local knowledge is there will still be livies about outside and the conditions for the weekend are favourable! It will still be hard fishing for the bay but for the offshore boaters you will need to find the clean water. Travel safely as there is lot of debris in the water! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Crazy footage! That fish looks really green. He's one lucky bloke.
  22. Thursday 8:30am Patchy rain, heavy at times. Seas 3.5m. Wind: 25knots wsw. At least the westerly should flatten it out a little but I can't see it improving that much by the weekend!
  23. Good stuff cait! There great size fish. Don't be making a bucket list just yet, your only a young lass and I'm sure there's plenty of fish to tick off over the next 50 years! Cheers scratchie!!!
  24. It's really filthy atm Gerry. We've had 200mm of rain in the last 24hrs. Cabbage tree should be fine though. I've never really had a problem there even after crazy weather! The swell is huge but it's forecast to settle on Friday. Saturday and Sunday are looking pretty good at this stage. I'll post you an update tomorrow when I finish work. Cheers scratchie!!!
