  1. Great work Tara! There really is something special about targeting bass from a yak. They are the "barra of NSW". Sounds like you had a great time with the kids and the fish are a bonus! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. Great stuff! Always difficult to land a good fish from the stones. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Welcome or Fishraider Greg! You will certainly find a lot of passionate fishos on this site. Plenty of information here to help you in your fishing ventures! All the best! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. It seemed to be hard going for a lot of boats. All marlin were caught wide as the inshore water has turned cold. We could really do with a southerly before next weekend! Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. Great video! You nearly lost that big girl at the boat. Well done on the squid too! Some really crackers amongst that lot. Always helpful to fellow raiders if you put a bit of a story to it also! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. I'm happy to share info throughout the comp or answer any questions fellow raiders might have! It would be great to see a raider on the leader board!
  7. Well done Matt! Cracking fish and deserving winner for cotm. Congrats to all that entered. There was some great fish and stories put up last month! Hopefully we have the same this month! Well done to all Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Probably one of the best run trailer boat tournaments you'll see! Currents report, is there are blue marlin wide. The water in close is really cold around 20deg so ATM inshore are your better chance of snapper and kings! There have been a few dollies about but they don't count in the comp! I'll report back as we get closer! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Gees Jim, is this confession week? At least you can go fishing with a clear conscience this weekend now you've got everything off your chest! Lol And Ryder, yes I'm suffering with tennis elbow! Not sure if it's to do with fishing, more about getting old I think! Cheers scratchie!!!
  10. Pm sent. And good advise longy! Always watch for sanctuary zones up here. There are plenty and patrolled regularly!
  11. Will do mate! I'm on holidays atm but I have 4 days off when I get back to do some research! Just dont steal my drift again! lol
  12. Yep I'm in mate and I know quite a few raiders that are! It would be good to get an idea of who's going? Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. I wondered where they were! I'm on the Gold Coast ATM and there's no pelagics anywhere! Unlucky you lost it boat side! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Cheers mate. And congrats again! It's an effort at the best of times, let alone off the rocks at night solo! After a story like that, I can only imagine how it pans out with a few mates at the pub after a few beers! Lol Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Well done dan! Great read and congrats on you fabulous capture. What general area were you fishing??? Cheers scratchie!!!

  17. I've got a yak to trade you Harold Nice fish Krause! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  18. I have often wondered that myself, so let me know how you go! But if you go back to barrington where the camp ground is, you take the road that is opposite it and drive for about 8kms. You'll find a cross bridge and waterhole. Great bass in there and you can kayak all the way back to the camp area. Cheers scratchie!!!
  19. 100mm bloody worm wriggler and 1/8 jig head. Also a squidgy fish silver fox 80-100mm. Heaps of current use a 1/4 jig. Next would be a 5inch jerk shad in pilchard.
  20. Mine is very simple........ Any sport you can compete with a beer in your hand is my type of sport!
  21. Great stuff innersea! Good to see you got amongst a few while you were up here. Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. Your boat is plenty to get you to broughton island but offshore boating is about confidence and experience. If you tried trolling the islands out the front of the heads would be a good start. Plenty of snapper and kings about up broughton. Best spots, sisters, north rock and cod rock. Live bait at cabbage tree n/w corner. The bay itself, try the wreck at corlette or steps at fame cove for jew. The breakwall early morning for kings. Flatty at any of the beaches on the eastern side of soldiers in 3-5m water. Look for the drop offs. If you do go to broughton, look for a 1.2m or less swell and 10knots or less wind. In the summer afternoons the nor'easter really kicks in so it will be on your tail on the way home. Hope that helps. Cheers scratchie!!!
