  1. Nice red mate! You must have eaten well through November! Cheers scratchie!!!
  2. VMR port stephens went to the aid of my mate yesterday. He was stranded with no fuel and about 6km from the ramp and the wind blew up making things a bit more hazardous. They were towed back to safety. They are absolute champions and do this on a volunteer basis. My hats go off them! Cheers scratchie!!!
  3. Awesome Yern! Really glad you enjoyed yourself. Sorry about the weather but nothing I can do about that. I haven't been fishing since that day because of it, oh except 1hr yesterday afternoon off the rocks. Was pretty hectic but needed my fix! Next time you come up, give me a bell for sure but you might have to twist my arm to come fishing! Lol lol Until then, tight lines! Cheers scratchie!!!
  4. Your 100% right kingfisher! It is a myth but because there are no real visual signs to differentiate male and female, it is best to let them go, if you wish too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  5. There is a step by step help for knots on the top page of this site. It has increased my repertoire and ability to apply different knots for all sorts of setups. Really really useful tool and you can slow the application down as well. I always attach a leader to braid and as linc said an Albright knot is the go. Hope that helps! Cheers scratchie!!!
  6. Well done Greg! And good on you for coming out and posting! It's nice to know what people are experiencing in different areas! Flounder, yum a personal favourite! Congrats! Cheers scratchie!!!
  7. Thanks erroll, great place to fish but only if the weather allows! It was a great day up there, I love fishing Broughton!
  8. Well done ruebs and good write up. Your decision not to go to the hawkesbo was a good one cos I forgot about the bridge to bridge. But try the plan I gave you some time and you might come up trumps. Tight lines! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. P.s. Have you tried SP's while your baits are soaking?
  10. Cheers mate, I've just noticed the good results you've had from that spot and would really like you to pull something big out of it. There is nothing like the first run of a 1m+ Jew! I think if you spent the time to catch some fresh squid or live baiting would pay dividends. You have worked out the tides and when their biting, so now to upgrade! Good luck!Cheers scratchie!!!
  11. Great write up luc. Firstly, can't believe diesel was allowed out. Secondly, you don't have to lend your catch to diesel just for a photo. Thirdly, sorry to say "fish less again and trout scarer, but IMO they aren't really fish are they? Lol ??? Well done boys, I'm very envious of you both getting a line wet today! It's been blowing its ass off up here. Cheers scratchie!!!
