  1. Well done guys, a great effort in wind and rain.
  2. Well done mate, always a good thing to get fish on lures. For bream, stick with smaller profiled lures like wrigglers, grubs, prawn imitations and small flickbaits. Usually natural colours such as brown, reds, greens, whites, greys work well. Looks like the spot where you are fishing will hold some bream. Good luck.
  3. Nice work Dave, looked like you were not sure yourself if you were going to go the distance in that video haha Top kingy mate, hope you get many more.
  4. That is great news your new pride and joy has arrived. She is a beauty and sure to turn heads lol. Have you named her yet? Great first jew to christen the boat, especially in the murky waters of the Georges atm.
  5. Yes, always nice to read a report, especially one filled with adventure. That's an impressive variety of fish.
  6. Well done, looks like you had a rewarding day with the old man. Congrats on your PB trevally, they are a fantastic sport fish.
  7. Good on you, that is a nice bag of bream on lures. Well done on the jews too, even though there aren't any pictures.
  8. Hahaha, unfortunately that's what birds do when they are scared. Had this happen to me on a number of occasions when I've tried to catch birds.
  9. Great sport they are, with all these large salmon, your young boys will be more than ready when they hook some kingies off the stones there.
  10. Great fish and photos there Jeff, especially the action shot.
  11. I was truly gutted to have missed it this year especially after the mayhem in Jerusalem bay the year before with Jeff - the hairtail whisperer, Stewie and Reggie poling them in. The hairtail were that 'on' that we ran out of bait and had to call Stewie for further rations. After all that adrenaline-pumping action, I slept like a baby on the top deck of the mothership. I encourage those that have never been to this great event, to consider it!
  12. I suspect that the natural buoyancy of the elaztech counteracts the weight of jighead. So instead of being pulled through the water, the water is instead moving around the lure if I'm making any sense. Normally, Zmans need to be rigged on slightly heavier jigheads to counteract this. At least for the 2.5" ones, a weight of no less than 1/24oz is needed to make the tail flutter on free fall.
  13. Yep, it's been doing the rounds around here and I've been down with a cold too for too long. Thanks Richard, most species take lures in one form or another. I use size 1/2/4 hooks on ca. 1/16oz with small lures (~2/2.5 inch) such as Grubz.
  14. Yep, I watch it every year. Most stages, but in particular the mountain ones. I hope it's a close one for the GC this year, it's a pity Froome withdrew due to injuries.
  15. Well done Stewy, esp in this weather, I've been sneezing all month. But lower temperatures aren't all bad, they are conducive for higher sperm counts.
  16. Well done Trevor and co, looks like a fantastic session with some quality fish. It must have been due to all the Rabbitohs gear blinding the fish!
  17. Well done, that's a fine Cooks jewie. Better luck next time Trung, maybe the net would snap or the camera button would jam indefinitely lol
  18. Good stuff Trevor, would have been nice to see you get those 50s but a great report and sesh nonetheless. Good luck for next Friday.
