  1. to Fishraider. Well done on catching a good mixed bag.
  2. That was an awesome jew. To catch it in a boat would be a struggle, but in a yak, that is amazing. I bet the yak was been towed for a while by the jew, like water skiing from a yak. Well done on a great catch
  3. Good one Greg. Very funny read. You are seriously having lack of fishing withdraws.
  4. Let me know when you are on the water Roberta. Maybe Janet & I will bring the boat out and see you on the water.
  5. Well done Roberta. Very jealous of you. Haven't caught a legal blackie in Forster so far. Hopefully my luck will change soon otherwise I am going to have a over supply of green weed at home.

  8. How do you live with tinnitus, particularly sleeping at night? i can't imagine. A few months ago I woke up with the case of vertigo, which drove me mad for 2 weeks. Came out of the blue for no reason, then went away for no apparent reason. Can't imagine living with constant ringing in the ears.
  9. That's a lovely sized bream. Well done

  18. wiring is very important. I bought 8mm 2 core electric wiring from an auto electrician. Perfect for this job. Not sure for the cost of this in Sydney, but up here I bought about 15 metres as I keep some for spare for around $55. Retrieval on my model is around the 17-20metre mark per minute. So I am happy with that. As I said earlier, you can free spool the anchor, or stop mid drop. You can do whatever you like. You can also turn the free spool mode off if you just want to lower the anchor in stages.
  19. The company who makes this anchor winch if top notch. Extremely help with customer service. When you buy this winch, you excellent instructions on how to install, and what type of chain and rope you need. Basically for the model I have you need 6mm short link chain, and 12mm three strand rope. You can get this at any boat store as it is common rope and chain. My boat is 4.50m, and I was just getting sick of bending over to retrieve an anchor, and getting covered in crap. This way all I do is turn a switch to free fall the anchor, or retrieve the anchor. All done without leaving my seat If you want details about the winch and where I got it from, feel free to PM me. I love my twin horns. Certainly make a noise. Sounds like a ferry now No worries Billy. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
  20. Hi Billy, My boat is a 4.50M runabout and has a anchor winch. Pictures are below. Cost me $499.95. Model is a 710F, which is the freefall mode. When anchoring, you can lower the anchor bit by bit, or free fall. I have sent you a PM with the details of the company and where to get them from if you are interested.
  21. Fantastic photos. People would pay good money for shots like these. Beautiful.
