Thanks Luke. Apparently from what I've heard graphite/carbon are the same thing just depends in which country you live. I've used fiberglass all my life. I'm an old fella. Are the graphites strong enough to lift a fish 4 foot up onto the rocks.

Hi All. I've just received some tax money and thought it was time to update my $30 special rod. I want to buy a new 10ft rod to target drummer. Just need your thoughts on fiberglass v carbon fibre/graphite .

The hose does reach the other side of the car but I have noticed that where it touches on the paint work it leaves a scuff mark

Those foot pedal kayaks kind of scare me. I've often thought about the fin movement under the water and some shark feeling hungry thinking there's a nice baby seal. DINNER TIME

My subaru forester has the words FUEL DOOR > always thought it should light up if you forgot to close it. Once checked it and nothing lit up just presumed the globe had blown. Thanks Ryder it all makes sense now

I'm with Ryder. It has always looked very fishy. Just driving past it looks full of bread and butter species. Might be a good day trip soon. You don't see much of it now with the new road.

That big (used to be blue) tackle store used to advertise they were the biggest in the southern hemisphere. Been in there it's huge

That's a good idea crossfir. I have the same brand kayak carrier's really good quality the only problem is if you need to buy the R@#NO roof racks it does become expensive approximately $350

Hi Raiders While reading reports i have noticed references to baits such as fresh sqid and fresh cuttlefish it got me thinking last week while looking at a pizza menu a seafood pizza had cuttlefish and sqid on it. I always thought they were the same thing. Is there a difference between the two?

Hi Matty I have a $30 special 10 foot rod from the big K store caught heaps of legal drummer and other interesting species with it. Just remember our favorite pass time isn't a job its a hobby. Live to your means. In other words buy what you can afford. Either way you will still enjoy yourself that's what it's all about

Fished the inlet near Marine Rescue. Swan Lake was really dirty very brown and the smell of rotting seaweed. There was some signs up saying that it had been opened up to the sea and being flushed out by the tides. Mother Nature at work.

3 smallish pigs 33-35cms !!!! I would greatly take them any day. Well done on catching the big fella. Edge of the seat report with a good outcome great reading.

Just got back from a few days at Sussex Inlet. Very disappointing trip although the sun was shining every day the freezing winds put a dampener on the fishing. We managed a puffer fish and a leather jacket in 3 days. Trying to fish with watery eyes running nose and no feeling in your finger tips is tough going. The wind felt like ice. Would probably be a really nice place in summer.
