you are looking at 8/9mile trip to either black hd to the nth or cape hawke latitude rock to the sth....there is a small area of fishable reef off the front of bennets head..there is a bommie under the lookout that is visible.there is reef in front of this I have speared jews n kings there in the past....if you are capable at beach launching southern corner of Elizabeth beach is used by a few people with lots of good reef in front of charlotte head..one of best lbg spots on coast cant supply marks as I havnt fished out of there for years in my boats...rick

you should have no trouble at little beach...if your only going to fish up the back of bay launch at soldiers pt...rick

occasional red in bay kings maybe but I wouldn't bank on it..little beach isn't too bad..what size boat what vehicle..rick

contrary to a lot of peoples uneducated beliefs..the kings are stayin round the pens and are being fed by huon and are being caught by them as we sit here typing posts...the day I was there catchin some the workers were using small jigs with no barbs like a tuna poling jig and were catching them an putting them straight into the pen..i watched them for five minutes and they were getting them one after the other...they appearently caught 3000 in one hit seineing them ..I hope this puts to bed peoples wild ideas and posts..im sure scratchie will vouch for the fish been recaught as it was in a report in the papers by dpi...rick

surfcams don't look appealing baz...if current was flowing at pens you could anchor upcurrent outside boundary and berley..im sure they would be up trail like a rat up a rafter.lol...rick

Seal rocks is open beach launch not good if seas are still up not a spot for inexperienced beach launching...i beach launch often but give seals a wide berth..there is a lot of good spots in the bay for flatties n such wreck in salamander has jew occasionally and west island also...maybe scratchie has heard recent news..???...rick

straight 8lb mono should handle most carp..they don't have teeth...rick

the lowrance have a fishing mode in settings for saltwater freshwater deep shallow trolling...also check your power source as a voltage drop gives whacky readings on hds5 don't have radio n pumps on same loom..rick
