  1. Hey guys if you didn't heed my warning it wasnt a ploy to get people interested. It was a desert out there today we towed arround a live slimie and some yakas for a period of about 5 hours today with not a single touch all the while throwing either stick baits or poppers. Only thing we turned a reel on was a small mac tuna, shame i left the big game boat at home in my dreams cause it was the perfect live bait for marlin or tuna. Hope everyone else did better today cause at this stage i thing longy is over for this season... well the inshore grounds anyway.
  2. Wow what a fish!!!! As usual warney, your a wealth of information!!!! my bluewater trip for this weekend fell through but im going chasing some kings instead. Good luck to all fishing the deep stuff for yft and beakies

  6. What a great day! Wish the script for game fishing always went like that!
  7. Great fish. Well done!
  8. Shame about the thongs. I've found the flatties really slow down there as well ever since about 3 days after the lagoon opened up to the sea. They went nuts a few days then since then have really slowed Down. It might be time to try further up stream but I love that little spot and haven't been able to tear myself away from it yet.
  9. Congrats on the new pb dan. We also found mh pretty slow at the moment!
  10. Bawley point with an outside chance of a jervis mission for a day. Tight lines and safe travels all
  11. Great session well done
  12. Nice work guys would have been a fun session. Plenty of action
  13. Great to hear you pulled through donna. I hope you have a speedy recovery.... no doubt the doctor suggested lots of rest... luckily holding a rod in your hand and soaking a few baits probably comesunder that category
  14. Thats all time, That must give you such a feeling of pride. It will be even better if you "HAVE to keep going fishing" because that is what she wants to do!!! Great work all round.
  15. Do you think this is the right speed for trolling tody guys????
  16. ha, maybe.... or maybe just the info that others have given me when i've asked a million questions! It's a tough job being a sponge but someones gotta do it!
  17. Thanks for the tips i will have to give them a go!
  18. Hi roberta, i was using one of the ecogear PX 45f. I've been loosing a heap of plastics to choppers recently and had this lure cut off by a tailor as well. Might even try a few small bibbed minnows soon. Any suggestions for bream?
  19. Nice looking bream pete. Do you think that the big flatties head further into the lake when the mouth opens to get into the more brackish water or is it more for coloured water to perform their ambush hunting?
  20. Its been fishing pretty slow of late. I got one cracker session in the day after the lagoon opened to the sea again where i got 10 flatties in 2 hours but apart from that they have been very absent. Plenty of whiting bream and tailor round though http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=47422&pid=349330&st=0entry349330 I tried to fish the day the lagoon was open but the water was just moving so fast and the tailor where ferocious. I've lost so many packets of plastics to those little guys in the last little while. There were some absolute horse whitting around under the bridge that day but it was just to hard to get them anything because of the current. Would love to know someones thoughts on where all the flatties have gone whether its out to see or further upstream.
  21. Thanks guys. They just kinda sneak up on you don't they.
