  1. The yak thread sounds like a great idea, as i generally look elsewhere for yakking info. I feel guilty every time

If your getting sambos your doing alright. Put it down to winter, as salmon are a dominant species this time of year.
  3. Great Bream there crystalliser, i nice way to christen your new lure
  4. Thanks guys, this thread seems to sum up my experiences so far. There's always alot of bait around like pike, yakkas and squid, which to me seems like a good indication that there aren't any thumpers patrolling around, hence the reason why i haven't caught any I might just switch to bait collecting mode next time there is a glow from below Cheers, Bobfish
  5. Just dont get the new LG Shine, its got some really wacky software and has a bad habit of cutting out mid call. Grrrrrrrrrr
  6. Raiders, Ive been doing alot of night fishing recently due to my increased work demands and in doing so have noticed the large levels of phospherous in the water. So much so, that i sighted a pike a meter before it hit my bait. Does anyone know the reason for this apparition like reaction? But more importantly (and this includes you jewgaffer ) how if in any way does this affect fishing? Cheers, Bobfish
  7. Great advice there jewgaffer, ive found my big bird (torpedo launchers optional) Apparently the warranty issues are related to avet reals whereas this puppy is badged by blackmagic. There goes my rediculous discount! Thanks again for the advice raiders Now ive gotta find a rod to suit!!!!! Clipboard01.bmp Cheers, Bobfish
  8. very accurate directions
  9. Looks like you had heaps of fun raf, nice work
  10. Thanks johnno, i think it might be more like "stressing" real hard
  11. Raiders, Ive heard that Avet australia has shut up shop, and I've been told this means all warrantys are void. Has anybody else heard this news? Now im posed with a problem.... do i offer my local tackle man a super cheap price on a reel with no warranty or buy an expensive reel with full warranty???? I was so sure it was the reel for me! Cheers, Bobfish
  12. Thanks for the help guys, i have much pondering to do....i am leaning towards the black magic by avet, so thanks for the advice Cheers, Bobfish
  13. Yeah johnno, the lever drag seems to be the issue, money is no option though.
  14. Raiders, Im shopping around for a new overhead that il mainly use for bottom-bashing, although flexibility for other types of fishing is a must. I want a small-ish type profile, that sports a lever drag, noisey clicker and holds around 200-300m of 20lb braid. Can anybody hep with ideas? Im thinking Torsa, Avet, etc..... Thanks guys! Bobfish
  15. Your a crack up jewgaffer!
  16. Geeeeeeeze, what a way to go.....
  17. Also i find north curlie is a winner in the very early morning. There's a weird wave break though, it kinda comes from nowhere. So stand back and keep your eyes peeled. Top spot though. If you want to get more adventurous again, Dee Why headland (past the pool) is a ripper. There is a cliff climb over water so its not for the feint hearted, but ive never left there without a fish. It comes with a nice livie pool and rod holders to boot! Ripper spot. Cheers, Bobfish
