  2. Just a heads up that there was an attempted theft of a mates boat in Artarmon last night, they broke through a locked gate/fence, had tools with them and were organized, so be careful with your security arrangements, boat was not stolen, seems they were interupted at some point, I am informed police have video of the attempted theft.
  3. Congratulations Roberta, was nice to catch up with you during the ABT, hopefully catch up with you at next years event(s), cheers Justin.
  4. Where are the crab pots Greg?, some nice Brims there mate good to see you putting the yak to use, cheers Justin.p.s the sebile rocks.
  5. Still no surface action there yet,,, oh well will wait a few more weeks then, nice fish anyway boys, cheers Justin.
  6. [ Anyone got a theory on what they are doing down here? Cheers! Freezing!
  7. Tuffy your street is wide enough to drive two semis side by side and then some, ensure your boat is secure at night may have even been some one checking it out and accidently hit it at the same time, you never know with some of the people who fish down your way at night, maybe even worth checking out the cars at the ramp in the arvo, quite a few people enjoying a few after work drinks on most days, perhaps one had a few too many and chose your street to travel home on, hence the prang. cheers Justin.
  8. Certainly not a lack of it? Was referring to the Parra river area mainly and the nuisance of having to travel compared with 3-4 yrs ago.
  9. Thats the stuff I used the other week with no success, burleyed hard with it as well, need to find some of that good stuff again eh.
  10. I think people are getting a bit carried away here, yes we all know exploring is the way to go, nobody is after other peoples spots, I was just commenting about the lack of weed and possible causes in the last few years espescially in the parra, which used to produce some of the best weed available, I was only after other peoples thoughts and opinions, not starting a war over who has the best or who knows where to find it, we all know how to find weed it just seems to be getting harder, cheers Justin.
  11. Hi folks, has anyone else noticed the decline over the last three years of quality weed growing in and around the parra river area, I started blackie fishing three years ago and quite often would just leave home rod and bucket in hand knowing that where I will be going will have enough weed to have a session or two, then over the last few years the weed is getting more and more scarce, Im a gladesville local so I dont see the point of driving all the way north to locate weed or cabbage off the rocks and then coming back to fish my favourite locations, and the weed from the platforms does not always work in the rivers no matter how hard you berley, seems to me there is a supply of good weed somewhere, so today having a bit of time off work decided to go foraging, I went to every location that has produced for me in the past but alas no luck, hardly enough for even a bait or two, so Id like to know what others are doing in this regard are you travelling further afar to locate weed, Im not after your spots, (unless of course you decide to divulge that information freely )cheers one frustrated fisho.
  12. Love your work Chris, never got around to deciding on a blacky stick yet, will let you know.
  13. Gday folks, with the upcoming tournament season approaching, I have been thinking of using lure wraps that go around the blank and secure your lure and or jighead to the guide you have it pinned on, there is nothing more frustrating than arriving at your chosen spot, then go to pick up your chosen rod from the six or seven strapped to the casting deck to find you have got a bloody tangle that a four year old could lay claim too, I think that using these lure wraps may help to reduce this situation, however I have not been able to find any locally, if anybody knows where I may be able to find some, I need fourteen of them so that we can have all rods tangle free all day, cheers Justin.
  14. Great minds think a like, me too.
  15. Hello all, my brother has purchased a second hand unregistered boat, just wanting to know what procedure that he has to go through to get it re-registered, any advice greatly appreciated, cheers Justin.
  16. Great fish dude, makes me wonder if the ones that smoked us on Sunday are even bigger, never even had a chance, Ive been smoked before by great fish on light line but to get smoked by these things was just awesome power, twas a great day, we had the whole ocean to ourselves, except the whales, the photos of the conditions we fished in dont really show how bad it was at times, lets just say my legs are still hurting, however the steamed snapper with ginger/chilli for mondays lunch made up for it, cheers all Justin.

  21. As to a new tournie partner? Time will tell. I wouldn't mind fishing a couple of teams events with her when she's ready - it has already been a topic of conversation in the past. Uh Oh, sacked already, at least she helps catch more than three, lol, cheers Justin.
