Thanks Frank.. Yeah that's what I loved about bass fishing on the surface.... Feel like selling my boat ( but I love it to much) and getting something smaller like alot smaller (there's a mad Lil 2 M tinnie down the road at the Marine store might go see how much he wants I'm betting over a thousand ) and full electric could just float down and power back up.. I've used heaps of lures there on numerous occasions not even a hit but not gonna give up ?

Brings me to a good question would a 70 pound cod be interested in a Lil cube of cheese as that's all I was using would bigger baits make for bigger fish?

Thanks mate yeah you could get a tinnie down there if it's light enough to carry or even roll down there is like a 3 - 4 M pretty steep decent down to the water ... Not my boat but to heavy but a small enough is doable if you did you'd clean up I got those 4 in like an hour and was only really limited to the one spot cos of the current and where the line settled cos I was bait fishing

Hi guys been gathering information and techniques for a while now on the old cod and this morning I cracked my first cod was only small but a pretty fat lachlan river cod and healthy and all up I caught 4 but all smaller than my first feel a bit bad I left the Lil blokes in bed this morning but must say it did end in results?... Tasty no name cheese did the damage and I got 1 on parmesan marinated chicken breast.... Special thanks to big Neil for all the useful info, now there might be another report very soon I'm after a big one even the Lil ones feel real solid could only imagine a metery

Yep I agree it's bound to happen like I'm doing everything right they reckon there a fish of a thousand casts ( unless ya lucky lol) I did catch a carp last time I went on cheese where I go on the lachlan it's only narrow no room for a boat but awesome for a kayak like from wyangala to Forbes then at Forbes you can put in a boat,yeah anyway the places I go look so fishy and just text book cod just screaming it but nothing... Secretly I think it's my to young ones running around and stuff spooking them... Next time I go to the river I'm going alone armed with chicken breast soaked in parmesan cheese and some tasty cubes coz that's what I got the carp on.... Was getting a Lil disenthused but never gonna give up I live so close so even just putting in short frequent sessions should come good.... I'll keep ya posted mate cheers

Yeah on the lachlan big fella but it's irrigation season and it's flowing real hard from wyangala to Forbes anyway. They caught a 70 pound cod at Gooloogong 2 years ago but was right before cod season ended and possibly the end of the irrigation season I'm guessing to so yeah definitely in there .. I have a 455 freedomsport ( a decent size but still small enough to drag around by myself ... Thanks for the offer mate really appreciate it I'm keen as .. Umm yeah not used to freshwater fishing really but I did used to love bassin in the nepean River...

Just wanted to let yous guys know my new hubs arrived all back together and working like it should and braking like it should... And for the brake settings it's 8 mm from the activation plate to the back of the bolt on the hitch if it's a al-ko 50 mm override hitch with leaf springs... Cheers thanks heaps
