Hi Raiders, Yeah i know most of you probably say what ever and go back to looking at those big fish, but i'm getting big ones at home that are better than any fish. I didn't go fishing last weekend and i'm glad cause those first smiles are briliant. My little fella Bryce was 7 weeks and the smiles are coming one after the other now (or until you try to show Mrs Watto and he falls asleep) thats right he fell asleep in Claudia's presence. I'll have to get him to teach me that trick might come in handy next hair tail social . Can't wait til they are look what i caught smiles. Lata Raida. Hi There, Just got home from the mother ship and yeah theres been some good hairtail caught. Last standing was 1975 and bream hunter who baged out in short time with the best going 120cm. Still not over though and there may be some quiet achievers out there. Oh and the only worthy fish from the mother boat so far was my 68cm flathead, (sorry guys but thats why they call em braging rights). I truly hope one of the jolly crew top that. Maybe you have upset the fishing gods, i saw the post of that motorised deck winch and maybe the gods thought they would teach you a leason for cheating. Might be a bit of over kill for hairtail but. Hi everybody, I sent a email to Lithgow information re the post i read that sugested the lake may be open but not sure and here is the reply. Hi Wayne, Lake Lyell has been opened to boating again. Recent rains has seen the water levels at the Lake significantly increased and the area has been opening to all recreation activities for power boats. For your information the boat ramp is also in the water and is has been continuing to rain in the Lithgow catchment area. Please advise your forum that Lake Lyell is open for boating. Some great shots there. I'm a part time photographer who has'nt taken a shot in weeks. Some withdrawls but not as bad as when i dont go fishin. Good example of right place right time, i bet he wishes he did'nt put foot prints in the snow in some shots but they would look even better. Great shots all the same . Lata Raida. Waynie

HI KINGvirgin, Small as u dare is definatly the way to go for carp hooks. Definately nothin over a size 8 and my mate PJ Garn Even uses size 16 pre made traces he bought back from the UK. Them big rubbery lips must be sesitive cause even though you can fit a bigger hook down their gob they will shy away from it. Lata Raida Waynie

There certainly could be fish there ive caught fish in way smaller patches of water than that and land locked puddles as well
