well done on the bream but its definitely a black bream you got there you can tell by colour and the pointy nose closely related to the yellow fin bream .

Basil Sam out fished you and you pushed him in with him not knowing that's what really happened ye and then a good brother in law that you are you gave him some clothes shifty bugger ha ha ha. on a serious note you got more fish than the poulos brother in the fridge any way good on ya you are doing good out there im getting ready for a outing pretty soon .

Hay Basil were you at the bottom less pit again have you left any fish there for when we go haven't been out there for years the squid look awesome

hi penguin ive never caught these fish in the harbor or botany only caught them down south what was the water temperature when you got them must of being very cold

Hi Steve great catch but very sorry to hear about the trailer i use the same boat ramp for about 10 years now this is the first i heard of any thing getting stolen from there very quiet place but boat theft is on a rise about 5 weeks ago a van stops in front of my house and checks the boat out a week later two blokes in a 4 wheel drive with no number plates stop in the drive way look at the either side of the boat then point to the lock i had were the tow ball goes and then drive off on week day 10 in the morning this made me very angry and paranoid and very edgy so i went and brought two wheel locks the reason i know about the van and the 4 wheel drive is because i have very good neighbors god bless them but a lesson for every body put anti theft devices on your boat and trailer the thief's are every were really sorry Steve i hope they catch them . cheers Jim Bream

Hi Tony in regards to water temperature you said in one of you posts last year if you remember which one i do were you posted the bream a back baby you needed to read it because its conflicting with what you are now saying or have you change your views on it if the bream are not seasonal like you say then i should at some point get 30 bream is that a fair number or maybe 20 a fair average for me at summer you would needed a drag net in these months to get 20 or 30 bream because they are not there in those sort of numbers . Are you working for some tackle shop trying to promote winter fishing because their stores are quiet at this time year lol .cheers Jim bream

nice bream Tony they good in size but you said 14 bream is that's correct and at 13 degrees. now what i no is at 13 degrees the fish metabolism would of dropped considerably and that feeding would be the last thing on the fish mind it would be looking for warmer water which would the shallows were the sun would warm the water up or the hot water outlet were most winter fisherman would go correct me if im wrong im trying to learn a bit more about winter fishing im told and understand that bream are seasonal fish.

Hi flano i learn t that August and September got to to the worst months to fish and it doesn't matter were you go high tide barometer water temperature the fish are not there

Hi Tony you say resident fish personally i have to disagree think the only resident bream would be the black bream unless the bream in the picture are black bream hard to tell. The bream come in from the sea and go back out. when the season starts they return just a normal cycle the bream change their pattern just before winter and are found around the mouth of the rivers the lower reaches of Botany bay and again about mid winter changes again you will find them higher up the bay or out side the bay you have to pay attention to these thing to understand the fish are there but just need to be found i don't fish winter but i like to read as much to understand the way they move around during different months of the year the problem with some fishos they stick to one spot and dot move any way there my thoughts cheers Jim bream

Hi Tony how are you good to see you got a good catch this time of the year the bream have being hanging around forever it seems with good reports from the Harbor to Port Hacking interesting it will be if the the bream will be late coming this summer i don't usually pay attention to these things but recently im looking at every thing i don't no if its the older i get or i have nothing better to do i cant wait for summer to hit the water at the moment its to cold for me. cheers Jim Bream

Hi Basil got to hand to you get out and about Harbor Botany Bay now Port Hacking soon you will be the guru of fishing these areas when are you going to the Hawksbury now that's a place i have never being we have to try it in the summer what do say Jim bream .

Thats an excellent catch you got how many bream in total? i have fished that spot south head before produces a lot of fish haven't being there in 12 years their is still plenty of fish a bout me and the groper got 22 fish a rose bay 2 weeks a go but its just to cold for me ill give it a rest wait for summer good on you on cheers Jim bream.
