G'day Fellow Raiders, Well after last year's trip to the Northern Territory, we have decided it's time to go back!! So this Friday at 1:25pm I should be just flying over the top of any fellow raiders in the bay near the runways... Can't wait for this trip even if it goes half as well as last year... We have it figured this year though, we will have images and clips ready to go every night, so I will do my best to log on to the net from up there and give daily updates with pictures and what not... Two weeks of fishing up there... It's heaven, the fish can be on soo hard at times that if you get your metal/popper/diver back without a strike you get a little disappointed!! Anyway raiders... I will keep you all updated once I get there and get everything rolling!! Bring on some thumpa GT's!!! Hoping to come back with a few raider records Cheers Ben

Oceanworld at Manly have some top jewies in there that get the mouth watering... I got my mum and sister a shark diving thing there for their birthdays... I was too busy watching the jewies... The mouth was watering, I'll see if I can find some pics to post up... Cheers Ben

Hey mate... When it comes to fishing, whether you hook up to a 1000lb marlin or a poddie mullet or even nothing, its never a waste of time, its your time, time to not think about anything but fishing, and enjoying the time, as we don't get to do enough of it!! You never know what will work and wont, something may work today, but not tomorrow... All part of fishing... Make some discoveries that way at least you got some favourites that may not work for others, also you'll have more pics to put up and say haha I had a ball catching this one, rather then not going and not posting at all... Haha... I remember going to bcf one day, my mate wanted to get a tent... $500 later and quite a few different lures, sps, hooks etc came home... Got home and realised I forgot something (an aerator) so i went back on the Sunday morning... Yeah $600 later... $1100 in two days... only to go fishing with me mate in his inflatable boat the following Saturday morning... We woulda had about half of Sundays gear with us, plus whatever else... Long story short... 3 hours into fishing could hear somethign like air coming out of a balloon... Next thing you now, two guys swimming a good 100-120metres to the shore... Apart from losing all my gear except the two rods and reels I took we made it back... NOT HAPPY JAN!!! Had to replace everything I lost, the following day... BCF at Auburn and Campbelltown - I am sure I have their leases paid for for at least 6 months... Cheers Ben

Mate, I would suggest you give Brighton Beach a go... Perfect area for sp's... great area for the kids, not too far to lug the gear and there are swimming nets for when the kids decide they have had enough coz its too hot... Plenty of flathead and whiting to be caught along the beach... Just my 2c, thats where I take all my mates, when they want to learn how to fish (eg cast or use sp's)... Cheers Ben

Yeah mate, bait jigs are the way to go... The Squid thing hasn't proved too successful for me personally, but have seen people clean up with it... Comes down to what the fish/squid want when your there I suppose, and how well you can sell your bait/jib/lure to them... Cheers Ben

Hahaha yeah love the pic... Pretty scary, I just can't see how we can rebound from this... Admittedly I don't understand all the little bits and pieces that are happening, but seems to be too much we owe and too late, we are advancing way beyond our time, and I just can't see us rebounding...
