  4. so based on our last few trips we thought we will go for snapper again while the Iron was hot but decided to try another spot down the coast Called the Banks we finished our work Monday 1pm and Chris come over to my home 3pm, we got down the coast by 6pm , had dinner a few drinks and picked up a few things from the local supermarket we then bunkered down in the boat overnight before launching the boat before sunrise , we got to the area by 6.30am and the fish first was on the boat by 7am, from there we had 12 by 9am and the jackets moved in, we moved to deeper water and managed another 13 , we just kept letting them go and keeping out bag limit each, on the way back to the ramp we stopped and tried a couple of spots and the fish was still on, we just kept on releasing them , back at the ramp by midday, washed the boat and drove home with our big smiles Chris's wife met us at my home, she picked Chris up and all the gear including the kitchen sink LOL on my end i cooked four fish and gave one to the Neighbour, down to 5 fish now, i want to eat them as quick as possible just so i can go again, lol, I mean why not, The fish are on, go get them guys .

  6. There are so many spots down there, sometimes the same spot fires, other times if there are no bits withing 10 minutes or so we move to another spot, but we never drop baits etc if there is no bait on the sounder

  9. The joys of running your own business is been able to push work aside to enjoy the little things in life. Me and Chris again organized our trip to stanwell park bright and early, 4.30 am my place and headed out of the port hacking, its only about a 45 minute run , left wallys Warf about 6.15 and got to our spots in front of the bridge 7am , the bight was hot, no monsters , all pannies from 38 to 55 but could not have asked for better conditions or a better bight, we bagged out by 9am and kept 7 smaller fish in the live well, as we up graded we let the smaller fish go to fight another day. Sofy plastics white glow 7" zman shads , elkat gangs, and home made rigs did the damage, rods i use no more 6 foot 8 to 10 kg , 40 lb line ultra thin, leader 30kg, and pillies as bait Back at the ramp by midday to clean the fish and the boat and a well deserved beer and rest , get amongst them guys, its snapper season

  12. Organized a trip down south with Chris (Pongrass18ftr) to catch some snapper, This place can be a nightmare to catch these fish except for a few fishos who regularly catch them down that way, to these guys I take my hate of to you up at 3am to organize the boat , water, lunch, coffee, ice bait and all the gear needed and off we went. Got to a spot i got given and it was not on, I drove the boat around sounding out some bait and thats when started dropping, it was 65 meters and to our surprise was visited by a whale who wanted to check us out and was with us for 5 minutes , just popping his head out of the water to breath & look at us and just drop down below the boat again, he really looked playful and never seen anything like it but wow and thank you for coming over, something we will never forget , once it left we continued to fish and we got a few, packed up by midday as the winds come through, headed home to clean the fish and the boat , enjoy the video of the whale
