  1. Amazing - you wonder what toothy creature in came into Middle Harbour with??? Definitely not somewhere I would go swimming in Thanks for sharing The Rev
  2. Awesome - sure beats the 1000's of small pinky cousins he must have that live in the harbour that we all end catching! Great job and I am sure s great feed [emoji2]
  3. Haha - will have to give it a try. ThanksThe Rev
  4. Yes - I was sceptical about it as bait for years but reading of lots of posts here on fish raider about guys catching fish on it persuaded me to give it a go a few months back. At half the price and twice the ease of using it, I am a big convert. I have caught this season the following salmon, kings, spangled emperor, bream, trevally, and flathead to name a few! The one thing I have learnt is this… soaking it in tuna oil might be good for the fishing but it takes about a week to get the smell out of your hands!!! Cheers the Rev
  5. We used a variety of baits... The old humble chicken breast soaked in some minced garlic plus some salted striped tuna fillets from my last outside trip
  6. No - didn't see any - but we weren't really fishing for them today
  7. We were in my small tinny - we picked up a mooring where the boats are at Balmoral for most of the fish
  8. Went out to fish the high tide this morning out of Manly. After trying a few spots ended up at Balmoral. Ended up catching lots of fish (about 40) with 10 keepers. 6 Trevally up to 38cm, 2 bream around the 30cm mark, 1 flathead (37cm) and a just legal flounder. Cheers The Rev
  9. Well done Butch - I got a Spanglie inside Q-Station at Manly in January this year that was 46cm. Was great eating when filleted. Apparently quite a few hang around during the summer months. My fishing mate sees them in the protected area at Shelly Beach over summer The Rev
  10. Hi Adam - Just wondering how you have found the Talica 12 II - I was thinking about buying one for live baiting Kings in the harbour. Sick of getting run off by big fish. Any thoughts? Bruce (the Rev)
  11. That's fantastic - great catch!
  12. It's never over until the last bait is out of the water. i've had that happen - was reeling in my last bait only to have a 72cm Jewie jump on. Sure puts on a smile on your face when you thought you had donuts just minutes before :-) Well done
