We started off on friday and fished the bottom for longer than we planned to, by the time we had a feed it was close to midday when we put the lures in. 2 pm we hooked up to Striped and had him boatside about 3:15. It was a good fish for us after losing many boatside this year so we decided to take it first capture to myself and Black Dog.Monday we fished again this time with Boxy on board and the plan was to go to the same area and get as many marlin under our belt as we could and also get Boxy his first marlin after countless hours and hard work. Well we arrived to the area where the fish had been and hopes were high when we could see multiple hook ups straight away. We hooked up on lures again at just after 9am and had a tag in him and lots of photos by 10am. It was great to be rewarded after so many hours and lost fish this year.Also had another good run from a marlin but hooks didnt stick on monday and a Dolphin fish aboat 8-9 kgDave Friday Monday Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's blue is is a good one did you get that off kiama canyons? Good to see your hard work paying off. Now time to get a blue . Be intresting to see how long the bite stays this good , make the most of it. Good to see black dog on the board. Up and onwards now mate. Great fishing weekend. we fished out of JB but seriously there is a stack of marlin being caught from as far down as Eden I think but at least as far as Bermi all the way up to Port stephens as far as I know.
