what braid to buy

Hi all,

For my 40th a couple of days ago, i decided to buy myself a couple of 8000sw stellas for chasing mulloway with bait and boat based.  I havnt had the need to buy braid for a couple of years now and was wondering what braid you guys would be buying these days to chase the ghost.

Open to any brand in the 30-50lb range.  I currently use 30lb on my older reels

Plenty of quality braids

30-40lb is your best bet i reckon no lighter for jewies

just a  few stellas eh

All my rods are loaded with power-pro! Never had an issue! Leader either ocea or black magic fc!

J-Braid is by far the best I've used, and I've tried a lot of brands

Since your loading up stellas id say best would be ocea braid. But best bang for your buck 8strand would be daiwa jbraid 8x

if looking at 4strand then it would be sunline super pe. Better than powerpro

i currently use all 3 and others. But they are my recommendations

Another vote for FINS from me.  I use 20lb and 30lb for jew.

Varivas Casting, Tasline, YGK just to name a few that i use, their diameter to breaking strain is amazing.

I don't mind the Daiwa J braid but as steed above the Shimano ocea might be better on your Stella. I've been using 50lb ocea on my biggest spring gear for marlin which is still looking like new after several good sized billfish
