Pickles
Headed out early with my son & one of his mates to catch some big harbour kings. Raining & windy, but plenty of parking spots at the ramp (Roseville not closed & no warning signs). Although conditions were crook, we got live squid & yakkas pretty easily. the Kingies were all rats, but good fun on light gear. The boys used to come out when 12-14, but happens rarely now - work& family commitments, so we had a good day, even though weather less than favourable. We also got some nice bream, on the northern shore on sydney side of Spit Bridge on squid strips.

Fishingwazza2019
Even though under size, as you say good fun with the kingies and good to share with the boys ...
zmk1962
Looks like a great day out with the boys regardless of the weather - a family that plays together stays together imo. Love the team shirt photo as well. Cheers Zoran
Yowie
Kings are always good fun, at any size. A few breambos to top off the day as a bonus.
big Neil
Sounds like an ideal day on the water Bob...rat Kings and decent Bream. bn
Keflapod
At least your son and his mate like fishing. Mine is allergic to fishing gear and never touches fish. Well done on managing to co-ordinate a trip with him - it's harder to do that, than to pick a decent weather day.

dlvbw
Conditions weren't ideal Bob but it was good to catch up with you on the water. Pity we were only able to watch you bring in the kingies whilst our fresh squid and livies were barely touched! Oh well. Next time.

GordoRetired
Those rats on light gear can be a heap of fun. Was down by the Roseville bridge last week with a light outfit, 6lb mono, and a soft plastic. Just got down there and there was a bust up within range, second cast and hooked a decent Aussie Salmon. Took me best part of 10 minutes to get it to shore and was only able to land it because another fisho there had a net. Was great fun as it tore off line and fought hard. Best fun I have had in ages 🙂
Pickles
Nice one Gordo, the thing I love about salmon that kingies don’t do, is jump. Very exciting watching them airborn. Great you could land the fish with the help of a fellow fisho.
