Dismal day on Tuesday but harbour kings around

Headed out early with my son & one of his mates to catch some big harbour kings.

Raining & windy, but plenty of parking spots at the ramp (Roseville not closed & no warning signs).

Although  conditions were crook, we got live squid & yakkas pretty easily.

the Kingies were all rats, but good fun on light gear. The boys used to come out when 12-14, but happens rarely now - work& family commitments, so we had a good day,  even though weather less than favourable.

We also got some nice bream, on the northern shore on sydney side of Spit Bridge on squid strips.

Those rats on light gear can be a heap of fun.

Was down by the Roseville bridge last week with a light outfit, 6lb mono, and a soft plastic. Just got down there and there was a bust up within range, second cast and hooked a decent Aussie Salmon. Took me best part of 10 minutes to get it to shore and was only able to land it because another fisho there had a net. Was great fun as it tore off line and fought hard. Best fun I have had in ages 🙂
