Scratchie Posted December 7, 2021 Share Posted December 7, 2021 G’day raiders, Just a quick report from up here. Got a late call up from a mate last night to go fishing today. Not sure what the weather was going to do as the forecast has been all over the place. But you gotta go when opportunity knocks! So we were greeted with way better than predicted conditions and headed straight up to the island. The first drift was no existent and neither were the fish. Moved areas and still no wind but the current was pushing hard. Water temp was a crazy 23.9 degrees and there were back eddies everywhere. Managed to find a good patch and the fish started coming onboard. A few pannies and a few string pullers. I think I boated 8 or so before my mate finally got on the board with a decent fish! Plenty of rain squalls throughout the day. But we kept casting and probably landed a dozen before calling it quits and heading home!
