Rebel Posted June 1, 2022 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Went up to Swansea this morning chasing Blackfish. Nice & cold. Caught 4 30-33cm Backfish also 2 Bream around 30cm. Started to get very windy after 2 hours moved on. Blackfish gear. 8' Wilson Magenta rod with a 3000 Kastking Megatron reel. 6lb mono 6lb leader. Tried out a new handmade float I picked up along the way. Bream gear Dawia TD Black 7'.5'' Supercaster rod with a 3000 Okuma Ceymar reel 6lb mono 6lb leader. Suicide 4 hook & cooked prawn for bait. Not at all, fishing isn't always about keeping every legal fish you catch, I enjoy it when I'm out fishing with my dad and juts having a good time. I love Blackfishing...the anticipation of the float indicating some interest, then selecting the moment to set the hook, finally the gentle coaxing of the fish towards capture.
