dlvbw
Hey Raiders. Visiting the in laws in NZ for the school holidays. Weather has been absolutely rubbish. Literally found one morning to fish in a two week stay. Got out of Mangawhai on my father in laws boat. Me, bro in law and four boys aged 4, 6, 8, 10. Conditions were excellent in the morning. Headed out to around 40m straight off the heads. Dropped a variety of lures....micro, octo and a brand new fish finger. Started slowly but after a move back to 38m we began pulling in lovely pannies and gurnard. Interestingly the fish finger smashed all other lures. Probably 90% of the 20 odd fish were caught on the 120gr model. The octos caught nothing and the micro jig got a couple..... Ended up with a couple of dinners and some very happy kids and Dads. Now to try and repeat un Sydney..... Cheers D.
