Rebel
Hi All, Had a phone call from an old Mate about a week ago. Lives in the East, C'on down. Weather was a problem. However today was the day. Arrived around 6am, just after low tide. Bit windy. One thing about the Ben make sure you have a rain coat. The waves can be a pain. We caught six snapper between us 43cm to 50cm over two & half hour period. Then it went quite. Neighbours will be happy. We then headed for one of favourite pubs for breakfast, the Watsons Bay pub. Gear. Dawia over there 11ft rod Penn slammer 4 4500hs reel. Penn super x 20lb mono line. Red in colour. This line is usually green but Penn have released this line in Red & Clear. Circle hooks. Bait fresh squid. Cheers Edited October 14, 2022 by Rebel
Rebel
Hey @wazatherfishermanDrove past Dover Heights &'' Saluted'' the memories. Had a look at the old wharf where they use to bring the Sharks in for weighing on Sunday afternoons at Watsons Bay. You would get lynched now if that happened today Lots of Memories in the Eastern Suburbs. Cheers. Edited October 13, 2022 by Rebel
wazatherfisherman
Hi Rebel well done catching 6 Reds off the rocks! Between Liverpool St and Lyons St gives you the best view of the old spot- at least the main ledges. Watsons Bay pub a good choice during the week!- Too crowded on weekends. I scored some free Marlin chunks from the game fishers tied up to the wharf one day- they were calling out to everybody there to come and get some as they had 3 Marlin they'd weighed. First time I ever ate Marlin. That wharf could tell some stories, not a bad spot to fish either
