I’ve decided I’m not much of a Pittwater guy. I just haven’t had much luck there compared to the upper reaches

I decided to go and have a look for Kings, so I got myself a few yakkas and hit the wreck for an hour or two off the top of the run out.  No luck.

So I headed over to look for what I think is the Carpark which wasn’t productive either.

On my way home as I was right near the ramp, I decided to flick for Flatties on the plastics.  I ended up with 5 all barely legal.

While I was doing that I decided to throw a yakka, that was already rigged up on kingy gear over the trail side of my drift.

Lo and behold, a PB 77cm croc decided the yakka was the goods.  80lbs leader might have been overkill, but she didn’t seem to care.  Released of course.

Great stuff, lovely flathead. Flatties don't tend to mind as long as a chunk of a bait comes there way. Better than having to eat a bunch if small fish.

Beautiful fish mate! I have caught quite a few flatties on live yakkas in the Hawkesbury....though generally not on the kingie gear!!!
