GordoRetired Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 This is going to be a short one. Launched the boat and away from the Roseville ramp at 7.00. Spend 2 hours trolling around North Head to Manly for not a single hit. Went across to the front of Manly and spent 3 hours drifting for Flatties. Caught heaps, all throw backs, a couple of Snapper, throw backs, a couple of Rock Cod, throw backs, a Flounder, throwback and a small ray, throw back... I see a pattern emerging here! ! ! ! 😞 Then another hour troll lures back round into the harbor for not a single hit, a quick drift around Quarantine bay for 1 Tailor, throw back. Then headed back to the ramp. On the positive side, I seem to have managed to wriggle the right wires so the electronics issues that I reported last week have gone away and it was a positively beautiful day with plenty of sun and minimal wind. Now busy packing for a trip down to the Snowies to chase some trout. Hopefully have something to write about when I get back. Tight lines Gordo 8 1
zmk1962 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 A pleasant day on the water nevertheless… did you forget to pack your magic burley sauce? Could have been the missing ingredient. cheers Zoran 1
Blackfish Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 A day out is a day out, better than at home in front of the Telly hey. Good luck down the Snowys and if you going next week it could get a tad cold. Looking forward to a report of BIG Trout 🤞 1
Larkin Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 The only benefit is that there is no cleaning of fish after a long day out on the water. At least your battery issue is resolved! 1
Rebel Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Win some lose some. Have a great trip. Cheers. 1
Yowie Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 It was a day on the water, fish to catch, but release. Better than nothing at all. 1
Pickles Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Gordo, sounds like you need a few bananas aboard. 4
zmk1962 Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 1 hour ago, Pickles said: Gordo, sounds like you need a few bananas aboard. …. And I thought it was the burley… but you are correct… it was the lack of a banana 🍌 ! 🤣😂🤣😂 cheers Z 2
Isaac Ct Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Better than nothing at all, at least you got out. Well done. 1
